Your role:
- Define and implement testing strategies based on holistic risk analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with delivery goals.
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence without authority.
- Manage, mentor and coach team members, helping to cover knowledge gaps and foster a collaborative testing environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels to communicate test strategies, progress, and outcomes effectively.
- Comprehensive understanding of the testing lifecycle, including test generation, analysis, reporting, and defect management.
- Proficiency in a modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.) and familiarity with software engineering practices.
- Ability to develop and improve frameworks and automation suites.
- Experience working in agile environments and applying shift-left principles, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Support the development and maintenance of automated test solutions using tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Tricentis Tosca, or Keysight EggPlant.
- Manage and version control test assets using GIT and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Contribute to the evolution of testing practices in Agile, DevOps, and Waterfall environments.

Your skills and experience
- Proficiency in at least one OOP language (Java, Python, C#).
- Hands-on experience with functional and automation testing across web, API, and mobile platforms.
- Familiarity with test management tools (Jira, TFS, ALM).
- ISTQB Foundation certification (or willingness to obtain it with company support).
- Experience in continuous testing and test optimization in CI/CD environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align testing efforts with business objectives.

Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a key role within Unifi's EHSS Programmes & Strategy team, supporting continuous improvement and compliance across safety and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage Unifi's internal safety audit programme to ensure operational compliance with both company and regulatory requirements.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent technical and business writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Sway), with advanced Excel skills for data management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in airline/aviation operations, especially involving safety or quality assurance programmes.

What you'll be doing
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off night blue shift
As QA Supervisor on the night shift you will lead a quality assurance QA team to verify that all materials including finished products are safe and conform to all relevant specification, legislation and customer requirements.
- Working closely with the Nights Production Manager to ensure the production of safe, legal food.
- Complete audits and key performance indicators and monitor the consistency of outputs across the team for compliance purposes
- Train the team to ensure that new process and procedures are adopted
- Building production team capability to improve communication and understanding of technical standards
- Investigating customer complaints or any non-conformance raised internal or externally to provide data which informs resolution
- Organise organoleptic panel to ensure consistent quality
- Ensure that a safe working environment exists for all colleagues and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set out in the Health Safety and Environment policy
- Managing the nights QA team, ensuring tasks are completed in line with schedules and trackers.
- Monitoring of micro results and initiating any investigations as required.
- Working closely with the hygiene team to ensure swabbing and hygiene audits are completed in line with schedules
- Flexibility required to support hygiene audits
- Ideally educated to Higher National Diploma level and/or experience within a similar role in food manufacturing
- Experience of managing a team and leading people
- Holds a Level 2/3 food safety certification
- Basic knowledge of weight legislation and allergen awareness/ practical management of allergens
- Experienced working with computer systems
- Understanding of internal audit process and technical key performance indicators
