About the Role
We are looking for a Direct Training and Development Manager to design, deliver, and maintain effective training programmes for our Direct Sales Teams.
You will lead workshops, develop learning resources, and work closely with Sales Leaders to ensure the teams have the skills and knowledge to sell and support Bauer Media Outdoors’s product portfolio. You will also evaluate and refine programmes to ensure continuous improvement and effective knowledge transfer.
What you’ll be doing….
- Design, develop, and deliver training programmes tailored to commercial team needs.
- Lead workshops and practical sessions on products, tools, and strategies.
- Collaborate with Sales Leaders and internal teams to keep training aligned with product updates and business objectives. Evaluate programme effectiveness and make improvements to support continuous learning.
- Develop a professional learning community and digital library for sharing best practices.
- Identify external experts to contribute to training content.
- Keep up to date with industry trends to ensure training remains relevant.
Leadership & Impact
- Manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Engage participants and make complex information accessible.
- Lead programmes from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Success Measures (6-Month Review)
- Improvement in consultant skills and competency levels.
- Faster ramp-up for new starters and increased team performance.
- Growth in overall sales and opportunity conversion rates.
- Positive trends in feedback from consultants and Sales Managers.
- Delivery of bite-sized learning sessions and maintenance of a digital training library.
