What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
+ The Supply Chain authority for all programmes and bids within the business.

What the role will involve
The Supply Chain Project Manager (SCPM) for the Maritime UK business will apply their expertise in supply chain, program, or product management to lead cross-functional teams in developing resilient supply chain strategies and executing key programs across MID products. In partnership with functional leaders, the SCPM will implement tailored, scalable practices to ensure successful execution from early engineering design through the full product and project lifecycle. Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Supply Chain Optimisation Specialist to join their team based in Bristol, South West England, UK . This role is fundamental to enhancing the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and resilience of our client's global supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of supply chain principles, advanced analytical skills, and a proven ability to identify and implement process improvements. You will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, identifying bottlenecks, developing innovative solutions, and working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve supply chain excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse end-to-end supply chain processes, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and service levels.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise inventory management, logistics, and distribution networks.
  • Utilise data analytics and modelling tools to forecast demand, track performance, and identify trends.
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, sales, and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate supply chain technologies and software solutions.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on supply chain performance to senior management.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting supply chains.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing supply chain capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations, with a focus on optimisation and analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in supply chain planning and analytics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA, advanced Excel, SQL).
  • Demonstrated experience with process mapping, Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver measurable results.
  • Understanding of international trade, customs regulations, and global logistics.
  • Experience in the relevant industry sector is an advantage.
