Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatching.
- Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and accuracy, conducting regular stock takes and cycle counts.
- Manage staff performance, providing training, motivation, and constructive feedback.
- Operate and manage warehouse equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and safety checks.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and space utilization.
- Liaise with other departments, such as transportation and customer service, to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities and generate operational reports.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures within the warehouse.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or staff conflicts promptly.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operations.
- Ensure the security of the warehouse and its contents.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a logistics or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to warehouse operations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
- Proficiency in using warehouse equipment, such as forklifts (certification is an advantage).
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts if required by operational needs.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to supervision.
- Familiarity with the London, England, UK logistics landscape is beneficial.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
- Forklift truck license and relevant certifications are desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
