Bloomberg's Global Infrastructure, Data Center & Workplace Sustainability teams manage the performance of our buildings and services in more than 160 locations worldwide including our mission critical datacenters. We support day-to-day maintenance and operations, and capital improvements. We work closely with the Global Sustainability Office (GSO) and other internal partners to operationalize Bloomberg's ESG strategy and deliver against enterprise-wide sustainability commitments.
**What's the Role?**
We are seeking an operationally minded Sustainability Engineer to lead the delivery of sustainability initiatives across our real estate portfolio. This role focuses on further embedding sustainability into the core of building infrastructure, systems operations, and facilities services - with a particular emphasis on energy, water, waste, and materials.
Whilst working alongside our internal teams and stakeholders this role will be critical in ensuring our sites are not only efficient and compliant, but also resilient and future-ready - especially in mission-critical environments such as data centers.
**We'll Trust You To:**
+ Oversee global operational sustainability initiatives from planning through implementation and performance monitoring.
+ Collaborate deeply with the Global Sustainability Office who set our goals, corporate strategy and policy.
+ Drive building and system energy & water efficiencies via targeted upgrades, optimization, and procurement.
+ Use regional platforms to track resource use and evaluate capex & opex projects for efficiency.
+ Improve PUE, optimize critical infrastructure, without compromise to resilience and redundancy.
+ Partner with Engineering and Procurement on alternative energy solutions, such as on-site renewables, energy storage and waste heat recovery.
