Contribution to the preparation of monthly management accounts and other reports
Contribution to the preparation of annual report and accounts for the charities
Support in the production of annual budgets for approval by service committees and the Board
Maintenance of the financial accounting system
Contribution to the administration of asset registers and budgetary control of the capital works programme
Provide regular support to budget holders
Support the monitoring and reporting on investment activities
Authorisation of payments through Corporate Internet Banking and BACS
Providing appropriate financial information for funding bids and monitoring reports for funders
Provision of financial information for the Trustees of the pension scheme
Ensuring that the charities follow procedures for procurement and value for money
Work in the best interests of the organisation and the people it serves
Any other duties as required by the Finance Manager and Finance Director
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- A recognised accountancy qualification or equivalent experience in financial management.#
- Studying towards an accounting qualification e.g. AAT
- Experience in using accounting software packages e.g. NetSuite
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of financial reporting standards.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- An understanding of the Not For Profit sector is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
