Our client, a distinguished innovator in the medical device industry, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Account Manager to join their thriving sales team. This role, based in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK , offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for a blend of client-facing activities and remote work flexibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing client accounts within the healthcare sector, including hospitals, clinics, and private practices. Your primary objective will be to understand client needs, present innovative medical device solutions, and build long-term, trusted relationships. Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic account plans, identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts, and achieving ambitious sales targets. You will also play a vital role in providing product training and ongoing support to clients, ensuring they maximize the value of our client's cutting-edge technology. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential, as is a deep understanding of the medical device market and healthcare landscape. This role requires a proactive, self-motivated individual who can operate effectively in both office and remote environments, driven by a passion for improving patient care through advanced technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of key accounts in the healthcare sector.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Understand customer needs and effectively communicate product value propositions.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations.
  • Provide excellent post-sales support and product training.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, technical support) to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities.
  • Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts and reports.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a sales or account management role, preferably within medical devices or healthcare.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare market and medical technologies.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Life Sciences) or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
