Deliver risk-based 2LoD compliance monitoring as part of our Compliance Plan.

Conduct audits, risk assessments, and assurance reviews with a sharp eye and balanced judgment.

Play a pivotal role in FCA engagements, including thematic reviews and regulatory visits.

You’ll Bring:

A QCF Level 4 DipFA or DipPFS (or equivalent)

Hands-on experience in 2LoD compliance within financial services.

Deep knowledge of the regulatory landscape, including FCA Handbooks (COBS, SYSC, T&C, etc.), Consumer Duty, data protection, and financial crime frameworks.

Strong communication skills – you can challenge with diplomacy and influence with credibility.

Compliance Manager – (Appointed Representatives)

Leeds-based | Hybrid (min. 2 days in office)

What you’ll help the business do:

You’ll help a growing insurance network scale safely and responsibly by ensuring that its Appointed Representatives (ARs) meet their regulatory obligations and operate with confidence.

This is a senior Compliance role with a difference: part adviser, part hands-on reviewer, part relationship manager. You’ll support an already acquired insurance business as it integrates into the wider network and help shape how future ARs are brought on board and supported.

Why the role matters:

The AR model is a key part of how the business grows its footprint across broking and MGA channels. It allows ambitious, independent firms to focus on serving clients while trading under the business’s regulatory permissions.

Your role is to make sure that model works not just on paper, but in practice. You’ll guide new ARs through onboarding, monitor ongoing compliance, and be the go-to person when issues arise.

This isn’t a siloed technical role. You’ll be close to the commercial and operational heart of the business.

What you’ll be doing:

• Acting as a Business Partner to the ARs and leadership team
• Advising on compliance risks and regulatory expectations
• Overseeing onboarding and approval of new ARs
• Conducting periodic reviews and ongoing monitoring
• Supporting ARs with policy rollouts, FCA guidance, and training
• Ensuring consistency across broking and MGA activity
• Collaborating with other compliance leads across the wider organisation

About you:

• You’ve got experience in general insurance , ideally within broking, MGAs, or networks
• You understand how Appointed Representatives operate and the specific compliance needs they have

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a current practising certificate in the UK.

• In-depth knowledge of UK and relevant international compliance laws and regulations.
• Experience in conducting internal investigations and managing regulatory interactions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be the driving force behind our health and safety culture working closely with the Workplace Lead and our external H&S partner to ensure we not only meet compliance obligations, but also embed a positive, proactive approach across all teams and buildings.

You’ll manage and promote adherence to health and safety policies, support all departments in completing their health and safety tasks on time and track and report their progress accurately. For the Homestead Park and Workplace Teams, you’ll have direct responsibility for managing compliance, risk areas include a busy public park and landscaping team, community events, a number of office buildings and their safe and effective operational management.

About you

As our Workplace Compliance Manager, we’d like you to…

• Hold a NEBOSH diploma (minimum required qualification)
li>Have proven experience in health and safety management or a similar role, ideally including horticulture, events and facilities/operational management.
• Have excellent knowledge of current health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with internal teams and external providers.
• Be experienced conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate safety measures tailored specifically to the situational risk.
• Be familiar with administrating a health and safety management system.
• Have experience managing improvement works and projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and timescales, and adhering to health and safety regulations.
