Job Type: 6 Months Contract
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Data Migration Lead to oversee the data migration workstream for a major transformation project which is migrating HR and Payroll functions from our on-premise Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS) application to Oracle HCM Cloud.
The successful candidate will work across business and IT functions, leading a small team of data analysts to ensure that all the data required for the new solution (including non-EBS sources) is accurately identified and provisioned; and successfully migrated into the HCM Cloud platform. You will interface with a System Integrator who have overall responsibility for the migration and are performing the Oracle to Oracle ETL.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the migration workstream
- Act as the primary point of contact between the business, internal IT teams, and the System Integrator regarding data migration activities
- Work with business stakeholders to identify and prepare data that is not held within EBS but is required in the target system
- Assess and resolve data quality issues (proactively and reactively) through collaboration with data owners and business subject matter experts
- Lead the delivery of appropriate reconciliation reports and dashboards
- Manage the successful acceptance of migrated data in the new solution
- Provide leadership and planning to a small team of technical and functional analysts
- Manage all data related activity, escalating risks and issues as necessary with appropriate mitigation plans
- As needed, provide hands-on analysis, mapping, provisioning or reconciliation activity to support the data migration workstream
- Work with Cyber Security and Data Protection workstreams as required to ensure the security of data throughout all phases of the project
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would need you to have:
- Demonstrable experience leading data migration projects for Oracle HCM Cloud implementations
- Strong understanding of EBS HR and Payroll processes and data structures
- Familiarity with the Oracle Cloud HCM data model and HDL templates
- Demonstrable experience working with System Integrators and managing 3rd party relationships
- Hands-on experience with data analysis, cleansing, transformation, data provisioning and reconciliation
- Capable of interpreting/explaining technical requirements to functional teams and vice versa
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across business and IT teams
- Clear understanding of UK/EU GDPR data compliance as it relates to HR data
