Position Overview: As a Secondary RE Teacher, you will have the opportunity to engage students in thought-provoking discussions about religion, morality, and spirituality. You will guide students in exploring the teachings and traditions of various faiths, fostering an atmosphere of respect, tolerance, and open-mindedness.
Temporary/flexible days
700 - 900 per week depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive and engaging RE lessons that encourage critical thinking and reflection.
- Facilitate discussions on religious and ethical issues, encouraging students to express their viewpoints and engage in respectful dialogue.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable exploring their own beliefs and values.
- Incorporate multimedia resources, guest speakers, and experiential learning activities to enhance student understanding and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate RE concepts into interdisciplinary units and promote cross-cultural understanding.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Teaching certification/license in Secondary Education.
- Experience teaching Religious Education or related subjects at the secondary level, with a strong knowledge of curriculum standards and pedagogical approaches.
- Deep understanding and appreciation of various religious traditions and the ability to facilitate respectful discussions on religious diversity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Education Development Advisor – The Role:
Following a period of growth, as well the introduction of SEND Mainstream Hubs and an innovative digital strategy that will eventually see 1:1 devices deployed across all of our schools, we are seeking to appoint an experienced and innovative individual to join our team.
Our Education Development Advisors (EDAs) are a pivotal part of our central team, supporting and advising schools on how to move their schools on in the next step of their improvement journey.
Education Development Advisor – Key Responsibilities:
- Promote the distinctive work and mission of the Trust and our academies
- Support all schools, offer guidance to Headteachers, informing SLT and the Board of Directors of all developments
- Identify risks within assigned schools which could lead to poor outcomes for children and provide rapid intervention plans
- Quality assure the school improvement provision within assigned schools
- To encourage schools to engage with their Trust Hub Partner Schools
- Use data effectively to monitor and evaluate the performance of all schools within the Trust
- Develop robust school improvement support in collaboration with other providers
- Lead training of governors and staff
- Develop key partnerships with a range of school improvement providers
Education Development Advisor – You:
- Minimum of 5 O Levels/GCSEs (To include English and Mathematics at Grade C or 4 or above)
- Experience of working in an administrative role
- To be able to effectively use IT, particularly MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of payroll administration and HR Administration
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
