About the role
To flexibly provide engineering skills to support high utilisation of, and improvements to, manufacturing plant and services equipment, in an efficient, safe and environmentally aware manner
To implement planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes for plant equipment; carry out statutory routine schedules and inspections on pressure. Gather and input data into the engineering computerised record system; develop ways of improving the planned work methods to reduce plant downtime
To provide 24-hour cover for plant breakdowns by use of a mobile phone during core hours and by a call out rota out of hours. To diagnose, problem solve and have contingency plans in place; successfully repair and test the plant safely, whilst minimizing downtime
To lead and implement minor development projects and plant modifications; assist with the development of ideas into workable solutions
To oversee external contract resources involved with any engineering maintenance, modifications or improvements; guide and train process operators providing assistance
To provide support to other site maintenance teams in different manufacturing areas during peak demand periods or when workloads change
Requirements:
A recognised engineering apprenticeship and a minimum of 2 years subsequent relevant experience
A high concern for standards and the ability to plan ahead

Job Description
A regional civil engineering contractor is seeking Engineers of all levels to work on multi discipline civil / infrastructure schemes across the Essex / Suffolk region
They are looking for someone that wants to push themselves and progress with a reputable major contractor, there will be training provided so that you can progress from your current position.
Key Areas of responsibility will include:
- Requires a good level of communication skills li>Obtain drawings, notify any changes
- Request RFI’s and maintain tracking system to manage responses and close out < i>Ensure all temporary works designs are in place
- Ensure all work is undertaken to the current drawings and specification
- Ensure setting out is undertaken in accordance with the method statement and risk assessment
- Manage the concrete cube process.
- Manage the quality assurance (QA) checks, reports and files.
- Manage and co-ordinate engineering resource to carry out and gather as built information.
- Close out defects in a timely fashion
Health and Safety
- Read and understand the Health and Safety policy and procedures and carry out work in accordance with its requirements.
- Work in accordance with the Quality and Environmental procedures and ensure the relevant forms are completed.
- Liaise with the site manager on a regular basis and report any health and safety noncompliance
