Job Title: Learning Disability / Mental Health Support Worker

(Private Mental Health Hospital)

Location: Nottingham

Contract Type: Agency / Part-time
Shifts: Days / Nights / Weekends available

About the Role:

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team, providing person-centred care to individuals with learning disabilities , autism , and/or mental health needs . You will play a vital role in empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting clients with daily living skills, personal care, and social activities

• Promoting independence and choice

• Supporting individuals with emotional regulation and managing behaviours of concern

• Maintaining accurate records and following care plans

• Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams

• Implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies where applicable

Requirements:

• Previous experience - 6 months minimum - supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

• Empathetic, reliable, and committed to person-centred care

• Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to obtain one)

• Up-to-date mandatory training (or willingness to complete)

Desirable:

• Experience with autism, ADHD, complex behaviours, or forensic mental health

• Knowledge of safeguarding and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent

12.21 per hour

Contract: Temporary to permanent
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm (office-based)
Start Date: Immediate

Our client is an innovative science and research organisation who are looking for an Administrator to join their Healthcare department.

Duties will include:

• Managing intake and verification of samples from hospitals and private companies
• Maintaining accurate records and efficient processing
• Inputting patient data into the clinical database
• Overseeing digital transfer of results to consultants
• Supporting the courier in packaging cases to send off and ensuring these are returned to the customer
• Completing administrative tasks such as typing reports and sending email correspondence
• Filing, scanning and archiving documentation
• Working closely with the lab team to ensure cases are reported in a timely manner
• Analysing data trends to optimise lab workflow and turnaround times
  
  

Skills/Experience Required:

• Previous experience in a similar role essential - office support / data entry/ admin/ customer service
• Strong attention to detail is paramount!
• Excellent communication skills
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office, to include Excel, PowerPoint and Word

• This role has an immediate start and is a temporary to permanent oppurtunity with the view of converting after 12 weeks
• This role is based in the outskirts of Nottingham so would be easier to reach with a car and drivers licence.

• A full UK driving licence and location within 30 minutes of the home
