An exciting opportunity to join our client’s Loans Operations team in a global investment bank as they expand their London offering. Ideal for graduates or early-career talent (1–3 years’ experience) interested in building a foundation in loan processing and financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process and monitor loan drawdowns, repayments, and settlements.
- Prepare and coordinate loan documentation and transaction support.
- Oversee deal closing, reconciliations, and compliance.
- Work closely with credit, legal, and front office teams.
- Support process enhancements and operational project work.
Requirements
- Degree in a finance or business-related field - not essential preferred.
- 1–3 years’ loan operations, banking administration or relevant experience (internships considered).

We are looking for an Associate (1-6 PQE) to bolster our growing firmwide Financial Services Group, specialising in contentious financial services work.
Described in Legal 500 as ‘a powerful financial services team with excellent criminal crossover’, our contentious financial services practice is widely recognised as one of the best in the UK.
Sitting within the broader Criminal Litigation team, we specialise in the intersection of criminal and regulatory enforcement, advising on both financial and non-financial misconduct. Criminal insider dealing cases and regulatory investigations into senior managers are the mainstay of our practice. With involvement in some of the biggest matters before the Upper Tribunal, you will be working on high-profile matters which shape the regulatory landscape.
Candidates will ideally have significant experience of working for the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and / or advising firms and individuals regulated by the FCA and a deep knowledge of the FCA’s regulatory framework.
You will join an incredibly hardworking and supportive team working alongside a number of leading criminal partners, as well collaborating with a number of practice areas across KN including our Employment and Dispute Resolution teams.
What are we looking for?
- Strong experience with contentious financial services work, including enforcement, supervision and authorisation / approval cases
- Experience advising firms and individuals regulated by the FCA
- An ability to get up to speed quickly on matters (including new legislation) and to shift focus/ direction with competing deadlines and priorities
- A demonstrable interest for contentious and non-contentious financial services work – delivering pragmatic and creative solutions to problems
- A broader interest in continuous improvement and innovation- we’re looking for those with an open and growth mindset and ability to embrace change
- An enthusiasm around marketing initiatives both internally and externally and comfortable delivering ‘know how’ sessions to promote knowledge & best practice
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and drafting skills

Our client, a leading organization in finance, technology and financial news sector, is looking for diligent, highly motivated and talented KYC Analyst to join a dynamic and thriving Know Your Customer (KYC) team and function. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to their thriving KYC function and play a pivotal role in the on-boarding and maintenance of corporate and professional clients. This a temporary contract for 6 months (possibility of extension) with an immediate start date. This role is based in the City of London and the candidates are expected to be onsite 4 days per week and can work 1 day remotely .
The role will focus on conducting periodic review of existing clients in an efficient and timely manner, analyzing corporate structures to ensure compliance, and performing risk assessments. The role also involves identifying and escalating AML concerns, managing business partner expectations, and responding to client inquiries.
The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the front-to-end customer due diligence process using risk-based approach and be well versed with legal entity types across different jurisdictions. The candidate should demonstrate strong competent knowledge of current UK and EU regulatory requirements and relevant financial industry know-how concerning the Customer Due Diligence and AML standards.
Applicants should have extremely good communication skills, the ability to meet strict deadlines, attention to detail and maintain focus and motivation while working in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct periodic review in an efficient and timely manner
- Analyse corporate structures and validate documentation to ensure compliance with internal procedures
- Accurately risk assess existing clients, resolving appropriate issues where required
- Identify potential AML concerns and escalate to appropriate senior management during the review process
- Manage multiple expectations of business partners and front office sales teams
- Respond to client enquiries, assisting on client calls when necessary
- Perform Politically Exposed Person (PEP), Sanction and Adverse Media screening by LexisNexis and analyse the results to eliminate or confirm matches
- Perform client static data updates within the internal systems
- Engage with different internal stakeholders for smooth review of clients or other compliance related approvals
- Engage directly with clients and assist with client queries
Must have:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in KYC/AML
- Knowledge of standard AML requirements including JMLSG and Money Laundering Regulations
- Experience of analysing complex company legal structures
- Understanding of risk assessment matrix
- Experience of conducting client categorisation using the FCA Handbook or MiFID classification
- Experience with PEPs, Sanctions and Adverse Media screening
- The ability to meet strict deadlines / set targets
- Dedication to resolve pending queries or concerns in a timely manner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Great attention to detail
Good to have:
- Experience of reviewing a variety of legal entity types from across the globe
- Familiarity with MiFID Client Categorisation process
- Experience of CDD Quality Assurance
- Experience in implementation of new KYC processes
- In-House Financial Services experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- A motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic, open-plan environment
- Knowledge of foreign languages would be a plus but not a requirement
