THE ROLE:

The Role:  Logistics Manager

  • Ensure the drivers deliver the level of customer service that meets the agreed plans for optimal service levels.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships between the logistics, service and production departments to drive optimal customer service. 

Requirements:

  • Ideally possess a (CPC) Certificate of Professional Competence
  • Service or logistics industry experience
  • People and health & safety management experience
  • Demonstrable experience of successful resource management / cost control
  • Proven track record of working to clearly defined service delivery KPI's Transport legislation, e.g. Drivers' Hours
  • Knowledge of existing and impending environmental and health and safety legislation

Role Purpose:
As a Logistics Assistant, you will be at the heart of our logistics and mail services. Your mission? To ensure the efficient storage and movement of mail, stores items, forensic items, and property, all while delivering exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver stores, non-stores items, and mail across Cheshire Constabulary, adhering to guidelines and legislation.
  • Sort, frank, and deliver mail, including managing special deliveries and ensuring confidentiality.
  • Collect and deliver mail and parcels around HQ and outlying buildings.
