Job Title:     Psychotherapist

Location:      Medway Green School – Kent ME1 3TS

Salary:       Up to £52,000 FTE DOE

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to join our developing Clinical Team based at Medway Green School.   

In this exciting role, you will work collaboratively to deliver bespoke assessment, and intervention plans for pupils with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs.

You will implement a holistic, therapeutic approach to helping our pupils in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable and healthy. Undertaking all aspects of Psychotherapy clinical duties, you will adhere to professional and regulatory guidelines, carrying out specialist individual assessments and interventions, and preparing relevant documentation, including writing reports. A significant element of this role will be working alongside the onsite clinical team to continue to develop the clinical service provision, including providing support and training to staff and parents.  

Our well-established multidisciplinary Clinical Team maintain a nurturing environment where our pupils can flourish, always putting them at the forefront of everything they do. All our settings maintain a strong safeguarding culture, and our pupils are heard, respected and involved in decisions that affect them wherever possible.

Essential Criteria:

• Evidence of recognised professional qualification as Psychotherapist, either Level 7 (e.g. Master’s degree) or above OR Level 6 relevant degree alongside relevant therapeutic diploma/s and experience of working with relevant client group and using relevant methods of service delivery.

Job Title:  Outdoor & Forest School Instructor

Location:  The Holden School, Leigh WN7 4SB

Salary:      Up to £27,000.00 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)

Hours:      37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 08:30 - 16:00 (Tuesday until 16:30)

As part of our continued growth, we are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Outdoor & Forest School Instructor to join our passionate team at The Holden School, part of Acorn Education.

If you are passionate about the outdoors and believe in the transformative power of nature, this role is for you. You will design and deliver engaging, hands-on outdoor learning experiences that help children and young people develop confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning. You will work with pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and other learning differences.

In this rewarding role, you will create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating outdoor environment, support emotional and social development, promote self-directed learning, and collaborate with teaching and pastoral staff to integrate outdoor learning across the curriculum.

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and practical individual who:

• Has experience delivering or assisting with outdoor learning or Forest School sessions
• Is committed to the ethos of Forest School and experiential, nature-based education
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understands SEMH, autism, and/or special educational needs
• Can remain calm, positive, and proactive in dynamic or challenging situations
• Has strong behaviour management skills and can set and maintain clear boundaries
• Works flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team

Desirable:

• Experience in special education or working with children with behavioural needs
• Skills in bushcraft, gardening, outdoor cooking, wildlife, conservation, or similar
