  • Planning each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
  • Providing the young person with holistic and engaging sessions which meet their needs and advance their educational and social-emotional journey
  • Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the young person's progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements:
  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes

Qualified Physical Education (PE) Teacher - Chester Area

Location: Chester, Cheshire
Salary: 120 - 190 per day
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time

Key Responsibilities:

Key Skills & Qualities:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of physical education techniques, sports coaching, and health education.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all fitness levels.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Patience, energy, and a positive attitude towards student development.
  • Effective behaviour management skills in a practical learning environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching PE in line with the UK national curriculum.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one).

Desirable:

  • Experience coaching or leading school sports teams.
  • Knowledge of health and fitness programmes and injury prevention.
  • Experience organising inter-school competitions or sports days.

Our client is looking for an inspiring and dedicated Lead Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in Liverpool, Merseyside, UK . This critical role involves developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, and collaborating closely with parents, guardians, and other educational professionals. You will take a lead in mentoring and guiding other teaching staff within the special education department, sharing best practices and promoting professional development. Responsibilities include designing and delivering engaging, differentiated lesson plans that cater to a wide range of abilities and learning styles. Assessment and progress monitoring of students will be a core function, ensuring that all pupils achieve their maximum potential. The successful candidate will be passionate about special education, possessing a deep understanding of current pedagogical approaches and legislative frameworks relevant to SEN. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational journeys of young people in Liverpool . While the role is primarily based in the classroom, there will be opportunities for remote engagement in administrative tasks and virtual parent consultations, making it a hybrid position. Requirements include a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed.) with a specialism in Special Educational Needs, and QTS.
