Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing accurate monthly management accounts and KPIs
- Leading on month-end processes, accruals, prepayments, and forecasting
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting audits
- Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Delivering clear financial analysis and helping drive process improvements
- Assisting with cash flow projections, budgeting, and continuous improvement projects
About You:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Confident using accounting systems (experience with Microsoft Business Central a plus, but training provided)
- Experience in hospitality desirable, but not essential
- Proactive, hands-on, and eager to contribute to a team-focused environment

Salary: Up to 38,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (onsite initially, some flexibility possible later)

Our client in the construction sector has recently completed a successful business acquisition, streamlining operations, strengthening its position, and securing a strong forward order book. With a move to brand-new facilities at Centurion Business Park, Horsley Cross planned for November, the business is now seeking a Management Accountant to join its small and friendly Finance team.
The position reports to the Financial Controller and is supported by an Accounts Assistant.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Management of CIS processes and compliance
- Payroll processing using Sage 50
- Credit control and debtor chasing by phone and email
- Support for the ongoing implementation of Microsoft Business Central
- Provision of financial insight to support business decision-making
Candidate requirements:
- Qualified, Part-Qualified (PQ), or QBE considered
- Experience in construction or manufacturing highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of CIS
- Proven experience in preparing management accounts
- Hands-on, proactive approach with strong communication skills
- Sage 50 Payroll experience essential
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central advantageous
