Job Role: Product Design Engineer (Mechanical)
Location: Birmingham
Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 per annum
Metalis are currently working with a UK leading manufacturer, who are looking for a Product Design Engineer to join their team.
Job Duties:
- Develop product design from specification to launch
- Prototype new product designs for review
- Export and modify Bills of Materials for designs
- Ensure the integrity of the IMS is maintained
- Manage progress on design projects
- Maintain design file structuring and part numbering
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, marketing and sales
- Evaluate the effectiveness of designs and implement changes to improve the product design
Job Requirements:
- Mechanical Design Engineer experience
- Competent in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks
- Knowledge of industrial processes, techniques and standards
Salary & Shift:
- 35,000 - 40,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (flexible working hours)
