A day in the life

In between, you might join meetings to align with local and remote stakeholder teams on technical issue reviews and project alignment. The day finishes with a team dinner.

Basic Qualifications

Completed Bacheloru2019s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, Robotics or equivalent

Relevant experience

Business-level written and oral English communication skills

Passionate about hands-on troubleshooting activities, whether hardware, software, infrastructure (power and data)

Proficiency in Linux administration and troubleshooting

Proficiency in data network concepts and protocols

Proficiency in the use of scripting languages

Able to provide examples where you successfully resolved a software, hardware and network issue

Able to provide examples where you successfully used scripting to automate a task

Comfortable to be working in a construction site environment

Drivers license

As a Senior Robotics Engineer in the Autonomy group, you'll play a key role in shaping how our vehicles move, respond, and interact with the road environment. You'll be responsible for delivering robust low-level control and motion execution that directly impacts driving comfort and safety, while also enabling new user-facing capabilities such as configurable driving modes and behavior personalization. Working across simulation, real-world testing, and platform integration, this role gives you the opportunity to drive real impact across our R&D and production autonomy stack.

Key responsibilities:

As a Senior Robotics Engineer in the Autonomy group, you’ll shape how our vehicles move, respond, and interact with the road environment. You’ll deliver robust low-level control and motion execution that impact driving comfort and safety, and enable user-facing capabilities such as configurable driving modes and behavior personalization. You will work across simulation, real-world testing, and platform integration to drive impact across our R&D and production autonomy stack.nKey Responsibilities

Own the interface between robot software and low-level vehicle control systems, ensuring reliable and safe actuation for baseline and feature-driven behaviors.nDesign, test, and tune control strategies for drive-by-wire and motion execution to achieve smooth, stable, and precise driving performance across multiple driving modes and feature configurations.nCollaborate with internal feature teams to support deployment and validation of user-facing features (e.g., comfort modes, assertiveness profiles, personalization) on-road and in simulation.nWork with suppliers and partners to ensure drive-by-wire integration for future platforms, enabling consistency across platforms for both control and behavior-level features.nMaintain safety and functionality of the internal R&D fleet with regard to motion control and drive-by-wire; support rollout of feature experiments at scale.nSupport performance evaluation of new vehicle platforms during bring-up and AV stack integration, including validation of control and feature interaction.nDevelop and validate longitudinal and lateral control loops that connect the AV stack to vehicle actuation, ensuring responsiveness to upstream planning and feature logic.nInterface with third parties to specify, integrate, and validate low-level control system requirements, with flexibility to support evolving feature definitions.nContribute to hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testbeds for control verification, feature evaluation, and safety assurance.nAbout you
