Role Overview:

The Candidate:

• Experience in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of Fire Alarm, Intruder Alarm, CCTV, and Access Control Systems to current BS and BAFE Standards.
• Knowledge of Global, C-tec, Advanced, Apollo, Pyronix, Galaxy, Paxton, etc.
• Experience in fault-finding and rectification
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and system designers

Job Title: Security Engineer – Technology Projects

The Role:
We are looking for skilled and motivated Security Engineers to join our Technology Projects team. This role involves working on a range of bespoke security systems including Electric Fencing, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarms. You will be responsible for installations, maintenance, and fault diagnosis, working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose faults on Electric Fence, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems
li>Install bespoke security systems to a high standard
• Conduct planned preventive maintenance
• Identify and report defects, snags, and customer complaints
• Manage van stock, replenishment, and stock taking
• Solve problems and make informed recommendations
• Demonstrate completed systems to clients and end users

We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Security Engineer to join our Global Healthcare client.   As a Security Engineer, you’ll provide hands-on technical expertise to guide software development, delivery and continuous improvement focusing on risk and security. You’ll help evolve our client’s new Digital Platform so that it’s secure and compliant with both internal and industry regulations. You’ll analyse new feature code to identify security risks and work with engineers to mitigate them, working and applying modern security standards such as OWASP CI/CD, DSOMM, SAMM and Cloud Security Posture management systems such as Azure Defender and Prisma Cloud.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

• Engineering expertise in complicated Salesforce environments
li>Exposure to Cloud Native software development, including cloud infrastructure and API design (Azure preferred)
• Proven experience applying modern standards such as OWASP CI/CD, DSOMM, SAMM etc
• Strong networking protocol knowledge (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/3, AMQP, streaming protocols etc), cloud network design (VPNs, subnets, regions/zones etc), and integration related technologies (Auth0, APIM)

Overview

The role of Security Engineer sits within Enterprise Services. The employee will be involved in the installation and commissioning of a range of security systems. The Security Engineer will have a strong understanding of a range of security products and the underpinning theory as to how they operate. This would include CCTV, Access Control, Intercom and how they may connect into other systems. A good understanding of IP networking and how it relates to IP based security systems is also required. As part of this role the engineer must also be a capable structured cabling installer as they may be involved in installing the network infrastructure the security system sits on or aid in the installation of structured cabling systems in other areas of the business as the need arises.
