YOUR PROFILE

Wed love to meet someone with:

  • Experience in working within the fields of Agentic & Gen AI, Data Science and Analytics in a client-facing environment, with a proven track record of successfully delivered work across the ML lifecycle and a strong foundation in statistical modelling, natural language processing, time-series analysis, spatial analysis, and mathematical modelling methodologies.
  • Keen to demonstrate the potential that Agentic & Gen AI has to offer to unlock business value.
  • A desire to provide solutions to the real-world issues and challenges with data that our clients face regularly. Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills, with experience in enabling clients to better understand and derive better value and insights from their data.
  • Currently working in a Consulting firm, and/or in industry.


Your Technical Expertise:

  • Architectural and/or feature knowledge of one or more of the listed Data and AI Platforms: Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Databricks.
  • Experience in one or more of the listed Languages such as: Python, R, PySpark
  • Experience in one or more of the following Agentic & Gen AI Platforms: such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Adept AI, UiPath, OpenAI GPT-5 Agents, Orby AI, and Beam AI.

Roles & Responsibilities

**Technical Delivery Manager Skill/Capability Requirements:**
+ Strong expertise in delivering large programmes, complex projects or multiple simultaneous projects with Data and/or AI technologies and methodologies, in high scale/high distribution/enterprise level systems/tech on supply side
+ Leadership and team management skills; the ability to lead and coach managers
+ Experience building and running teams across multiple locations on the same programme, and cross site teams with members onshore, nearshore and offshore
+ Experience of working in multi practice engagements to deliver end to end solutions covering platform, testing, security and managed services
+ Proven ability to build and maintain senior client relationships (internal and external) to navigate difficult situations and conversations
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills, concisely providing key information about project progress and benefits to senior customers.
+ Cross site, and multi-shore delivery experience.

**Education and Experience:**
+ Bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science, Engineering or related technical discipline
+ 10+ years of professional IT delivery covering all disciplines
+ Strong knowledge of the entire software development lifecycle and strong experience in delivery of data and/or AI projects
+ Significant experience with agile and hybrid development methods.
+ Has led multiple large (~£10m per year) technical programmes incorporating data and/or AI engineering and data and/or AI technology implementation.
+ Experience of leading agile teams. Ideally beginning in a technical engineering discipline and moving through assignments to larger scale and technically complex environments.
+ Experience leading, coaching and developing people, teams and adoption of latest techniques
+ Experience in delivery of enterprise level distributed/scalable systems

About the Job you are considering:

We are seeking a Senior Generative AI Data Engineer with strong experience in financial services (banking, capital markets, insurance, or fintech) to design, build, and scale GenAI-powered data solutions. The role combines modern data engineering, ML/LLM integration, and domain-specific financial knowledge to deliver enterprise-grade AI platforms.
You will lead the development of data pipelines, vector databases, retrieval systems, and LLM-driven applications to solve use cases such as risk analytics, fraud detection, regulatory compliance, document intelligence, and customer insights

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Key Responsibilities :

1. GenAI & LLM Engineering
Design and implement end-to-end GenAI pipelines using LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
Build RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Azure AI Search)
Fine-tune, evaluate, and optimize LLM outputs (prompt engineering, embeddings, guardrails)
Develop AI solutions for:
Financial document processing (contracts, KYC, trade docs)
Regulatory compliance automation
Conversational AI/chatbots for banking use cases


2 . Data Engineering & Platform Development

Build scalable data pipelines using tools like Spark, PySpark, Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery
Design data lakes/lakehouse architectures on AWS/Azure/GCP
Integrate structured and unstructured data (market feeds, transaction data, PDFs, emails)
Implement real-time and batch processing frameworks

3. Cloud & MLOps
Deploy and manage GenAI solutions on cloud platforms (Azure preferred for financial services)
Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and governance for AI systems
Use frameworks such as:

MLflow
LangChain / LlamaIndex
Kubernetes / Docker
Ensure scalability, reliability, and security in production environments


4. Financial Services Domain Integration
Work with business stakeholders to build solutions aligned with:
Risk & compliance (Basel, AML, KYC)
Trading & portfolio analytics
Fraud detection & anomaly detection
Ensure adherence to regulatory and data privacy standards (GDPR, FCA, etc.)


5. Data Governance & Responsible AI
Implement data lineage, quality, and governance frameworks
Apply Responsible AI principles:
Bias detection
Explainability
Auditability
Ensure secure handling of sensitive financial data


Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
7+ years in data engineering / AI engineering
Strong Python and SQL expertise
Hands-on experience with:
LLMs and GenAI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex)

Cloud & Tools

Proven experience in:
