We are recruiting for a Senior Network and Cloud Engineer to join our global Technology team.nResponsibilities
Act as technical lead for network and cloud operations as well as cross-team projects.nAct as technical lead for network and cloud projects, including migrations, upgrades, and security initiatives.nParticipate in architectural decision-making, mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive adoption of best practices in network and cloud operations management.nBuild systems and implement innovative technologies to support the next generation Rimes platform in our Data Center and the Cloud.nOptimize datacenter infrastructure to improve performance, utilization, availability and security, while controlling costs.nMaintain observability best practices to measure compliance with Rimes SLOs.nWho you are — Core requirements

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Network and cloud engineer to join our global Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm with a global presence and significant growth potential.
As a senior you will:
Act as technical lead for network and cloud operations as well as cross-team projects
Act as technical lead for network and cloud projects, including migrations, upgrades, and security initiatives.
Be at the forefront of Rimes engineering capabilities. You will participate in architectural decision-making, mentoring junior engineers, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and driving the adoption of best practices in network and cloud operations management.
Build systems and implement innovative technologies to support next generation Rimes platform in our Data Center and the Cloud
Optimize datacenter Infrastructure to improve performance, utilisation and availability and security, whilst controlling costs
Maintain observability best practices to measure compliance with Rimes SLO's
Who you arenCore requirements:
Expert Level networking knowledge, including configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco and HP networking equipment (Switches, Routers, firewalls).
Deep experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly in networking (e.g, Vnets, ExpressRoute, Azure firewall, network security groups).
Hands on experience supporting physical data centres, including hardware, operating systems, and network infrastructure.
Strong understanding of virtualisation technologies, especially VMWARE.
Proficient windows server 2019/2022, including roles such as DNS, DHCP and Active Directory.
Skilled in incident management and cross-team communication, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues and solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Relevant Certifications, such as:
Cisco Certified Network professional (CCNP) or equivalent.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate.
VMware Certified professional (VCP)
CompTIA Network+ or Security+ (optional but beneficial).

You'll work as part of the team managing the existing on-prem, and growing cloud infrastructure, managing existing environments and assisting in building, designing and launching a cloud-hosted infrastructure.
You'll be responsible for operational management of SaaS, IaaS and PaaS environments and will be responsible for automating resource provisioning (compute, storage, monitoring etc) and building and designing new tools and processes to improve experience and reduce errors.
You'll need previous experience in a range of IT environments - operating systems, networks, applications, platforms and databases - including commercial experience with cloud technologies including design and deployment.
