**Job Description:**
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
**CUSTOMER**
+ Develop and implement standard support model and processes by using industry best practices
+ Oversee detailed investigations of incidents to evaluate root causes and ensure implementation of targeted, value added and controlled remediation plans
+ Act as an expert resource providing insight and recommendations based on industry practices and emerging technology trends within application support field
+ Define, deploy and/or lead systems / applications activities to support clients and applications
+ Identify, recommend, source, negotiate and implement improvements/solutions (buy/build/reuse) to enhance customer experience, availability, and/or reduce cost in support of client needs
+ Influence product direction, foresee issues and gaps, identify solutions, and work comfortably with leading edge products that are untested/ unproven in the market
+ Manage complex application deployment in load balanced service-oriented environment
+ May help test, debug, and performance analyze and document environment components
+ Troubleshoot initial failures, coordination of resolution efforts and communication with appropriate members
+ Work with Architects to ensure that environment modifications interact appropriately, data conversion impacts are considered, and other areas of impact are addressed and meet performance requirements of the project
+ Collaborate with business leaders, IT professionals, vendors / outsourced partners to assess viability/priority of projects/initiatives and ensure issues are clearly communicated
+ Lead / contribute to the project management processes conduct pre and post implementation reviews
+ Integrate technical solutions with the business environment, recognizing systems interdependencies and reusability, and ensuring seamless delivery
+ Ensure appropriate security levels are established and maintained for processes, information exchange and system implementations
+ Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for production incidents as required and provide single point of contact for business communications related to production incidents, escalate as required
+ Drive and manage controls environment (including processes), covering change management, production implementation, compliance and audit controls, and business continuity (both application and resource)
+ Work in strategic partnership with development and delivery teams to continually identify and create opportunities to increase application stability of production environment
**SHAREHOLDER**
+ Review, define, enforce and influence standards and appropriate quality measures/metrics
+ Ensure systems and operational availability meets or exceeds negotiated service levels, and report results as required
+ Adhere to existing processes/standards, business technology architecture, risk and production capacity guidelines; plan, monitor and escalate issues as required
+ Follow standards, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and applicable Business Recovery Plans (BRP)
+ Comply with well-defined enterprise technology delivery practices and standards and project management disciplines
+ Assist in the development/maintenance of comprehensive processes for prevention of issues and participate in problem determination and timely resolution of incidents
+ Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with emerging industry trends, new technologies and best practices in the external market that can contribute to delivering effective client solutions
+ Develop/maintain expertise of system development methodologies, key business initiatives/issues, IT implications for systems/technologies and impact on business solutions
+ Identify opportunities to minimize cost, provide recommendations and/or deliver corresponding strategic solutions to support cost effectiveness
+ May develop and/or contribute to negotiations of third party contracts/agreements

**EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION**

**Team/Role Overview**
The Operational Risk Officer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. **What you'll do**
+ Establishes and oversees the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
+ Independently assess' risks and drive actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
+ Governance and oversight may include (not limited to) technology operational risk, risk for example.
+ Serves as a subject matter expert for Issues Management (KPI/KRI/Corrective Action Plans)
+ Resolves transactional level escalations coming from the vendor or internal partners
+ Analyses a multitude of scorecards/performance management tools in an attempt to mitigate exposure (risk/financial/regulatory)
+ Monitors goals are met through performance, risk and relationship oversight of our extended supply chain
+ Collaborates to resolve any issues which fall within the terms of the contract.
+ Develops and maintains relationships across the business users and Lines of Defence to better understand and deliver customer requirements by responding to changes in the internal and external business environment

Markets Operations Technology is part of Citi Markets Technology and provides foundational Post Trade activities for Markets. A highly motivated Business Analyst is required to lead requirements, design and implementation for critical cross functional changes impacting our Markets Operations partners. This exciting role will blend a mix of technical acumen, detailed analysis, problem solving and communication skills to drive activity at pace whilst identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
Our team focuses on Data and Controls linked Citi wide Transformation commitments and therefore requires a focused and diligent individual who can challenge and drive business outcomes. We are execution focused and responsible for deliverables across multiple teams and geographies.
**Role Overview/What will you do:**
This role will manage requirements, dependencies, communication and engagement across multiple areas to define and drive a holistic solution. A broad understanding of Markets products and lifecycles with the ability to quickly grasp detail is essential. Our stakeholders and partners are based at Citi sites globally.
Core activities will be to:
+ Requirements Elicitation: Gather and analyze business requirements, translating strategic objectives into tangible deliverables and measurable outcomes. Focus on understanding the "why" behind requests and provide credible challenge using subject matter and industry expertise. Partner with our application teams to design solutions that can be delivered effectively.
+ Gap Analysis: Identify gaps between current and desired business processes, proposing solutions that drive improvements and with consideration of upstream/downstream and data impacts.
+ Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on desired business outcomes and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate and provide guidance and ownership to application teams across Markets Technology to meet desired outcomes.
+ Change Management: Support change management activities, focusing on user adoption and realizing the intended business outcomes of the new processes or systems. Provide in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate across functions as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives.
+ Data Analysis: Analyze data to validate and prioritize requirements and provide insights that contribute to business outcomes. Track key metrics and report on progress toward goals.
+ Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain documentation related to projects, processes, and achieved business outcomes. Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders that clearly demonstrate the impact of implemented solutions on business objectives.

**Key Skills and Experience required:**
This role is varied and will provide exposure to different parts of our Markets business for ongoing career development. To get started we are looking for:
+ Experience: Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a demonstrable track record of delivering projects that achieve measurable business outcomes. Project experience in Financial Services domain.
+ Domain Expertise: Knowledge of Financial Markets products and services and wider-Banking domains will provide the ability to credibly challenge and drive solutions. An understanding of how technology solutions are critical to business outcomes within these domains is essential.
+ Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think critically and strategically about how solutions contribute to business outcomes. Uses strong analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.
+ Data Skills: Demonstrable experience in working with large data sets in Excel or more advanced tools and ability to drive insights from data.
+ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely, connecting technical solutions to business outcomes for both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong diplomacy skills to resolve and influence conflicting views.
+ Technical Skills: This role sits within Citi Technology and the ability to think, design and communicate in a way that considers solution Engineering is important.

+ Ensure the business needs are met with the most elegant and timely technology solutions

+ Go-live support, investigation of issues.
