The successful candidate will join an innovative and dynamic team, advising on a diverse range of matters including commercial contracts, technology, data protection, IP, and regulatory matters.
The candidate will play a key role in high-profile transactions, advising a variety of national and international clients on commercial and technology matters. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to contribute to business development while managing client relationships.
Essential Criteria:
- 2+ years’ PQE;
- Strong background in commercial law, data protection, or digital regulation. Background in two or more areas highly desirable;
- Strong academics;
- Demonstrable commercial awareness;
- Technically excellent;
- Negotiation skills;
- Supervisory skills;
- Willingness to become involved in business development;
- Ability to work independently and as a team.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies for technology procurement, aligning with business objectives and market trends.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including market analysis, supplier identification, RFx development, negotiation, and contract award.
- Manage key supplier relationships, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring performance against contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and value creation within the technology category.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the technology market, including emerging trends, key players, and pricing dynamics.
- Collaborate with IT departments and other business units to understand their technology needs and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Manage the full lifecycle of technology contracts, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the procurement team.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or CIPS qualification is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 4 years focused specifically on technology sourcing (hardware, software, IT services, cloud solutions).
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex technology procurement projects and delivering significant cost savings.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong understanding of IT market dynamics, vendor landscapes, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in e-procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
