 Start Date:  November  2025
 Contract:  Maternity Cover until July 2025
 Pay:  £160 - £40 per day (dependent on experience)
 Hours:  8:00am – 4:00pm | Full-Time
 Location:  Near Totton, Southampton 
Supply Desk is working in partnership with a secondary school located close to Totton, Southampton, to recruit a committed Food Technology Teacher . This maternity cover role begins in November 2025 and will run until July 2026 , teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 .
The successful teacher will be joining a supportive Design & Technology department, dedicated to engaging students in practical and creative learning. This opportunity is suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators with a passion for Food Technology.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver creative and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
 - Encourage students to develop essential cooking skills, healthy eating knowledge, and a passion for food.
 - Track and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
 - Contribute to departmental development and curriculum planning.
 - Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and achievement.
 - A mixed 11–16 secondary school based close to Totton, Southampton.
 - Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (2022) with a positive ethos and inclusive culture.
 - Supportive Senior Leadership Team committed to staff wellbeing and development.
