What you'll be doing

The Role
As an OT / Cyber Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of Vale’s industrial control systems, including DCS and SCADA networks. You’ll work closely with Operations and IT teams to integrate, protect, and optimise automation systems that underpin safe and sustainable refinery operations. Requirements
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or related discipline.
• 5–7 years’ experience working with industrial automation systems and operational technology.
• Strong knowledge of network security frameworks, industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, PROFINET), and OT/ICS cybersecurity principles.
• Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and automation hardware/software integration.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
