**The team you'll be working with:**
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Gen AI specialist to join our dynamic Gen AI COE inside NTT DATA UK&I. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing AI solutions ideally using AWS technology. This role requires a deep understanding of generative AI techniques.
The selected candidate would eventually take on a wider range of responsibilities, within our COE, for example to work on novel projects. The GraphRAG solution is however a good place to start and be a proving ground.
**Please note: You must be eligible for SC (Security Check) clearance to apply for this position.**
**What you'll be doing:**
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Deploy solution into new customer tenant (based on a re-usable method)
+ Onboard customer documents into the solution, including making sure diagrams have been properly parsed.
+ Configure Langchain for vector processing and graph extraction
+ Create agents to generate new outputs from existing knowledge graph
+ Tune prompts so that customers can find the information they are looking for
+ Collaborate with off-shore teams and share knowledge with other AI developers around the world.

About the role

Applications are invited for the position of post-doctoral research associate, to work at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London. We are a multi-disciplinary team consisting of researchers with strong backgrounds in clinical cardiology, cardiac electrophysiology, basic science, as well as AI, mathematical, engineering expertise. We are seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral research associate to join a collaborative team of clinicians, basic scientists, and physical scientists working on cardiovascular research. The post holder will apply signal processing and AI methodology to ECGs and 2-week single-lead ECG patch data, to predict a range of cardiovascular outcomes.

The present post is funded by an EU Innovation Health Initiative (IHI), awarded to a global consortium/collaboration to reduce the burden of atrial fibrillation and advance its quantification and treatment. The work at Imperial College London is led by Professors Barbara Casadei, Fu Siong Ng and Steven Niedere

What you would be doing

You will apply signal processing and AI methodology to ECGs and 2-week single-lead ECG patch data, to predict a range of cardiovascular outcomes. You will work closely with the clinicians, biologists, bioengineers and physical scientists within the multi-disciplinary group

What we are looking for

  • You should have a PhD (or submitted a PhD and awaiting viva), or an equivalent qualification, industrial or commercial experience, in a computational discipline.

*Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as a Research Assistant within the salary range 43,863 - 47,223 per annum.

  • Experience in computer programming (particularly Python), is essential, and previous experience with AI research is highly desirable.
  • A background in cardiovascular research is also desirable.
  • You should also have a collaborative approach to research as this role requires working with other groups both within and outside the department.

    **Qualifications**
    Minimum Qualifications
    + Experience as a Product Manager, or equivalent, with leadership responsibility in a fast-paced product development environment.

    + Hands on experience in developing machine learning models, and experience in applying artificial intelligence to digital products.
    + Strong analytical skills, with experience using data and experimentation to inform product decisions and drive measurable improvement.
    + Competency in applied statistics, gained through academic study such as mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics or physics, or through comparable work experience.
    + Ability to translate business goals into product requirements and technical capabilities in partnership with Engineering and Data Science.

    The Standards Verifier plays a key role in maintaining the integrity and consistency of vocational qualificationsby ensuring that assessment and internal verification practices meet national standards. This involves providing expert subject-specific support to centres, conducting sampling and verification activities, delivering clear and constructive feedback, and contributing to the ongoing development of quality assurance processes. Through regular training, collaboration with internal teams, and engagement with centres, the Standards Verifier helps uphold Pearson's commitment to high-quality, reliable assessment.
