**Your area of responsibility as an AV Technician:**
Working in some of the best venues and hotels in the UK you will play an integral part in the planning, preparation of some amazing events and will be responsible for the delivery and set up from small meetings through to large scale productions.
_Equipment Operation_
+ Assist in cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping and repairing equipment prior to an event
+ Drive Results - Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audio-visual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section.
+ Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise.
+ Do the Right Thing - Complies with all Company security and safety measures.
+ Adhere to health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
+ Report all health and safety issues to the HSE Manager or Project Manager onsite.
+ At times the technicians will work as part of a team on larger scale projects.

+ Do the Right Thing - Understands company processes, follows procedures and completes systems entry and paperwork accurately.
+ Uses the equipment sheets to determine the equipment scheduled for set up and for strike. Interacts with other staff and outside vendors for equipment.
+ See the Bigger Picture - Increases revenue by utilising floor up-selling techniques.
+ Works with clients to finalise invoices.
**What you bring with you as an AV Technician:**
+ Previous experience within the Service and Hospitality industry would be preferable.
+ Previous experience in AV / Live events would be preferred
+ Previous experience of audio visual experience, or equivalent in an educational environment would be beneficial.

Prime Appointments is working with a leading specialist contractor to recruit a Site Installation Technician. This is a practical, hands-on role, involving nationwide installation of bespoke GRP systems including riser flooring, platforms, pit covers, and access structures.
We are seeking someone with a solid site background who values safety, accuracy, and teamwork, and who is keen to develop their skills within a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Install GRP riser flooring, platforms, pit covers, and related systems
- Read and interpret site plans, drawings, and method statements
- Accurately cut, fit, and assemble materials to project specifications
- Set out risers and complete installations to a high standard
- Support daily site operations, reporting to the Supervisor or Site Manager
- Maintain tools, equipment, and PPE in line with company procedures
- Follow all health and safety regulations including PUWER and LOLER
- Report progress, highlight defects, and communicate supply requirements
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and site organisation
- Take part in training, working towards NVQ Level 2
Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience in construction or site-based installation
- Experience with GRP materials or access flooring systems (advantageous)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and layout plans
- Willingness to travel across the UK with overnight stays (Monday to Friday)
- CSCS card (essential)
- Additional certifications such as PASMA, IPAF, or Harness & Lanyard (desirable)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- PTS certification (preferred)

Installation Technician Responsibilities:
- To provide on-site customer technical expertise, efficient installation, troubleshooting and repair and supporting products in compliance with company standards, policies and procedures

- To complete assigned projects and service requirements throughout the UK

Installation Technician required skills, knowledge and experience:
- Must have previous experience within a hardware service and installation role.
- Technical skills - hardware experience of monitors and PCs, working knowledge of Windows operating systems would be desirable.
- A keen interest in problem solving and technology. Hands on experience with CRM software (MS Dynamics CRM in use)
- Must hold a clean valid driving license
- Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, with strong numeracy skills and a high level of accuracy.
- Performs well under pressure, consistently making sound judgements and meeting deadlines.
- Logical and well-organised, yet adaptable when needed; effectively manages multiple tasks and plans the day to meet objectives, KPIs, and both customer and management expectations.
- Confident in building strong internal and external relationships, particularly in face-to-face settings. Possesses excellent communication skills.

- Mount and secure passive components (splitters, couplers, terminations, etc.)
