LSEG London is looking for an Expert in Snowflake, Python and streaming technologies to innovate and build new solutions in LSEG's Regulatory Reporting | LSEG Post Trade Regulatory Reporting (PTRR) is a department within Markets which owns an estate of systems built on the PTRR Platform. The systems cover a range of functions from the generation of LEIs and ISINs for the UK to the regulatory reporting systems like EMIR Trade Repository and MiFIR Reporting. All are underpinned by the PTRR Platform, an ETL and visualisation suite developed in-house since 2006. More information can be found here LSEG's Regulatory Reporting | LSEG The PTRR Solutions Engineering team traditionally manages the configuration layer of systems created on the PTRR Platform, from initial blank install to initial delivery and then on into feature development and maintenance releases. Recent releases such as EMIR Refit have seen a move to incorporate technologies currently outside the PTRR Platform, with integration back to the Platform. Key responsibilities • Oversees the design work and planning for user journeys ensuring the achieve the desired objectives • Works with architects to decompose a solution down into Epics. • Leads the team and inspiring them to advance their skills on technologies currently used or not used ie. Python, Spark, Databricks • Takes initiative to develop knowledge in technology products and tools through on the job learning, certifications and projects. • Advances tools and applications by producing expert code and reviews others' code when required • Develops knowledge of other domains to understand linkages and dependencies • Proactively identifies ways to improve their system's resiliency and robustness. • Will work within an agile framework, participating in all ceremonies and working collaboratively with colleagues. • Strong emphasis on build quality which is achieved by adhering to best practise and also thorough unit testing. Cloud Engineer

Reporting to the Head of Cloud Engineering, the Cloud Engineer will work on an exciting Government Agency Managed Service contract and act as the primary engineering representative for Telent, for on-premises or cloud-related technical initiatives.

This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to be in our client's office in the Southampton region 2-3 times per week.

What you'll do:

  • Act as the cloud representative for assigned customer accounts, providing expertise on cloud and on-premises infrastructure
  • Serve as the internal on-site escalation point for support issues and programmes
  • Maintain proactive visibility of cloud service incidents across nominated customer environments, ensuring timely updates, escalation, and resolution aligned with SLAs.
  • Add value through insight-driven analysis, identifying cloud performance trends, emerging security threats, or vendor bulletins that may impact customer cloud environments.
  • Assist or lead in the cloud pre-staging of infrastructure, including virtual appliances, configurations, and scripts for customer cloud deployments or hybrid rollouts.
  • Attend and contribute to customer-facing meetings such as support reviews, project roadmaps, monthly service reviews, and weekly incident management sessions.

Who you are:

You are a proactive and skilled Cloud Engineer with a passion for managing cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions. You must be an effective communicator, and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers

Key Requirements:

  • Experience with supporting public cloud and/or traditional on-premises infrastructure
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with supporting infrastructure on VMware, Hyper-V, Windows/Linux servers and/or on Microsoft Azure / AWS platforms
  • Good understanding of core networking concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Must be eligible for SC Clearance
