Job Description
As a Senior Driving Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality driving tuition to learners of all abilities, preparing them for their practical driving tests and beyond. You will need to demonstrate an exceptional understanding of the UK driving curriculum, traffic laws, and safe driving practices. The ability to adapt your teaching style to suit individual learning needs and paces is paramount. Whilst the role is remote in its management and operational aspects, instruction will occur in person with students as per industry standard.
A significant part of your role will involve managing your own client bookings, scheduling lessons, and maintaining accurate records of student progress. You will be expected to provide constructive feedback, build rapport with your students, and maintain a patient, encouraging, and professional demeanour at all times. You will also be responsible for ensuring your vehicle is maintained to the highest safety standards and complies with all DVSA regulations.
We are looking for highly motivated, self-disciplined individuals with a proven track record in driving instruction. A full, clean UK driving licence and a current DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) registration are mandatory. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills are essential for success in this role. You will be expected to uphold the brand's reputation for excellence and contribute to the ongoing success of our network, all whilst managing your business remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive driving instruction to learner drivers, preparing them for theory and practical tests.
- Develop personalised lesson plans tailored to the individual needs and progress of each student.
- Ensure all lessons are conducted in a safe, professional, and encouraging manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the UK driving test requirements, traffic laws, and road safety standards.
- Manage student bookings, scheduling, and lesson administration effectively.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students to foster confidence and reduce anxiety.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle in excellent condition, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with all regulations.
- Provide constructive feedback and track student progress diligently.
- Uphold the company's reputation for high-quality instruction and customer service.
- Embrace the flexibility of remote business management while delivering excellent in-person instruction.
- Full, valid UK Driving Licence for a minimum of 3 years.
- Current DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) registration.
- Proven experience as a Driving Instructor.
- Excellent knowledge of road safety, traffic laws, and the UK driving test.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
- A patient, calm, and encouraging disposition.
- Reliable and professional attitude.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for scheduling and communication.
