Job Description
Join to apply for the Digital Safeguarding Eduataion Specialist role at Smoothwall (part of the Qoria family) .
OverviewHeadquartered in Perth, Australia, Qoria is an ASX listed global leader in child digital safety technology and services. We are a purpose-driven business with a mission to keep every child safe and thriving in their digital life. We operate under the ‘Linewize’ brand in North America and Asia Pacific, under the ‘Smoothwall’ brand in the UK, and under the ‘Qoria’ brand in EMEA. Our solutions are utilised by schools, school districts and their parental communities to protect children from seeing harmful content online, to identify children at risk based on their digital behaviours and to ensure teachers maintain focus and safe learning in the digital classroom. 29k schools and 6 million parents depend on our solutions to keep 27 million children safe in 180 countries around the world.
What’s the opportunity?
As the Digital Safeguarding Education Specialist, you are a frontline representative of our brand, responsible for delivering exceptional safeguarding and wellbeing training and consultancy to education customers. You will create and deliver impactful, high-quality content that builds trust and positions the company as a credible, expert-led partner — not just a technology provider.
Your role goes beyond delivery: by building strong, advisory relationships with schools, MATs, colleges, and other education stakeholders, you will act as a key commercial enabler for our sales team and support our customer success team. Your interactions will directly support lead generation, customer expansion, and improved net revenue retention (NRR). As a result of your work, customers and prospects will see our solutions as essential, values-driven, and deeply embedded in their safeguarding approach — increasing their lifetime value, driving additional ARR, and boosting ARPU.
A critical measure of your success in this role will be the number of users positively impacted through your delivery — including staff, students, parents, and governors — as well as the strength of customer feedback.
Here’s how you’ll do it:
- Deliver high-impact training and consultancy that enhances safeguarding outcomes and positions the organisation as a credible, values-led partner across the education sector.
- Support commercial growth by generating leads, surfacing upsell & xsell opportunities, and influencing deal success through expert-led delivery that builds customer trust and confidence.
- Act as a trusted specialist resource for the Sales team, stepping in to add credibility, insight, and real-world examples to customer conversations.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to ensure the Education & Wellbeing proposition is clearly communicated and reinforced at every stage of the customer journey.
- Create high-quality, legislation-informed content that aligns with strategic commercial goals, supports wider product adoption, and differentiates the business in a competitive landscape.
- Drive long-term customer value by contributing to onboarding, early success, and sustained engagement — particularly in high-value and strategically important accounts.
- Collect and surface stories, feedback, and insights from your delivery work to support case studies, enablement materials, and sector thought leadership.
What will my day to day look like?
- Design and deliver tailored training and consultancy to staff, students, parents, and governors that drives measurable impact and supports long-term customer value.
- Create high-quality, up-to-date training content and engagement strategies aligned with education legislation, sector challenges, and wider business goals.
- Act as a trusted specialist for the Sales team, joining strategic conversations to lend credibility, subject matter expertise, and real-world insights that differentiate our offer and increase win ratios.
- Surface upsell, cross-sell, and lead generation opportunities through trusted relationships built during training delivery and consultancy engagements.
- Collaborate closely with Customer Success to support onboarding, improve product adoption, and ensure the Education & Wellbeing value proposition is deeply embedded in key accounts.
- Provide feedback and insight from customer engagements to help shape future content, strategy, and commercial positioning.
- Contribute directly to case studies, sales enablement materials, and marketing content by identifying compelling examples of impact and success.
- Track and report on training reach, user engagement, and feedback, helping to demonstrate ROI, inform retention strategies, and support performance metrics like NRR, ARR, and ARPU.
- Maintain a deep understanding of UK education safeguarding legislation and statutory responsibilities to ensure all content and delivery reflects sector-leading best practice.
What you’ll bring:
- Background in the education sector or a closely related field , or clear evidence of strong, current knowledge of the UK education landscape — particularly in relation to safeguarding and wellbeing.
- Demonstrable expertise in UK safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance , including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Prevent Duty.
- Experience delivering training or consultancy within education settings — including to staff, leadership, governors, students, and/or parents.
- Understanding of school and multi-academy trust structures, operational realities, and cultural nuances.
- Experience contributing to wider business goals through customer-facing work (e.g. sales enablement, upsell identification, retention support).
- Comfortable aligning content and delivery to both mission-led outcomes and commercial measures like user engagement, NRR, ARPU, and renewals.
- Aware of the role education safeguarding plays in decision-making and procurement processes — able to influence these with credibility.
- A confident and empathetic communicator , able to quickly build trust with diverse stakeholders — from school safeguarding leads and SLTs to students and parents.
- Able to adjust tone and content for different audiences, making complex legislation accessible and actionable.
- Comfortable presenting in large and small group settings, to different age groups, both virtually and in person.
- A strong ambassador for the organisation , able to represent brand values with integrity, warmth, and clarity.
- Comfortable working independently while aligning with cross-functional goals and collaborating across teams.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple customer engagements while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Confident in using feedback to adapt and improve, and in sharing insights that drive better outcomes across teams.
- Represent the company professionally in all external engagements, whether online or in person, reinforcing our credibility as a mission-driven partner.
