We are looking for an engineer with at least a level 3 in a mechanical bias qualification, electronic bias would be and added plus but, not essential

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical.
• Complete service documentation and maintenance logs accurately.
• Complete the designated preventative maintenance tasks
• React and repair unforeseen breakdowns
• Identify potential failures, plan and execute corrective maintenance tasks
• Identify potential engineering / operational solutions to reoccurring failures
• Implement and complete resolutions
• Liaise with internal teams to schedule and prioritise maintenance work.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company maintenance procedures

What We're Looking For

• High levels of Health and Safety awareness
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical power systems and the ability to interpret and amend technical, mechanical and electrical drawings
• Presenting a problem-solving can-do attitude
• A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering related subject, ideally Mechatronics
• Experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineer to assist with the delivery a programme of capital works, the Transport and Highways Delivery Programme (THDP) on the local road network.
 
The main duties of the Engineer are:
·Leading on small to medium sized highway or infrastructure projects (or assisting the Project Manager on a larger project) through the design, construction and maintenance stages.
·Ensuring compliance with local authority governance and procurement processes.
·Preparing and presenting Full Business Case reports to elected members and other stakeholders.
·Applying and implementing DMRB and other highway and infrastructure design standards to designs.
·Managing public consultations, including presenting to the public / stakeholders / elected members.
 
The Engineer will have key experience in:
·Experience of assisting / supporting in the design and delivery of highway or infrastructure schemes
·Knowledge of:
oDesign Manual for Roads and Bridges;
oManual of Contract Documents for Highway Works
oTraffic Signs Manual;
·Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions; Knowledge and awareness of statutory processes such as CDM, TROs, NRSWA etc.
·Knowledge and awareness of stakeholder engagement and public consultation processes.
·Knowledge of Local Authority governance processes.
 
This role requires the successful candidate in the offices 2/3 days per week.
