The Payments/Fintech Business Consultant will drive and lead the fostering, nurturing, growth and development with our largest and most strategic Financial Technology (Fintech Partners). As a Senior Partner Account Manager, you will establish and maintain C-level, sales, and product relationships with these Fintech Strategic Partners, working with them to drive new significant revenue through customer acquisition into the SMB Market globally (NA, UKI, EU, ZA). You will be responsible for the development of activities to identify, develop, and administer strategic Fintech partnerships to realize key objectives, address unmet market needs, and create significant new revenue streams back to the business. Identify and deliver the vision, strategy, commercial arrangements, contractual agreements and partners for a best-in-class partners' relationship framework to support a growing ecosystem of Strategic Fintech Partnerships that are deeply integrated into the core Sage software offerings. Lead research activities to identify business opportunities, conduct due diligence, and develop plans and strategies to drive current & new relationships. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned strategic partnership account executive that has a proven track record of driving significant revenue within the fintech industry. Sage's commitments to the partner are to deliver, as a result of GTM activities, increasing volume, whilst enabling Sage to achieve scalable new customer growth and accelerated revenue growth.
This is an hybrid role with 3 days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and development of wider Fintech Partnership Strategy. Identify and secure commercial relationships with Fintech ISVs that are fully integrated/delivered as core features of the Sage product set globally. Identify and implement partner integrations in the market.
Revenue Delivery - Achievement of expected new customer adoption, £8-10m in payments revenues and customer goals, the incumbent will define and drive acquisition activities.
Subject Matter Expertise
Stay informed of current local marketplace trends in Fintech and be the SME for internal sage
stakeholders. Contribute to the overall vision, strategy, and execution plan. Collaborate with internal teams to maximize value of partnerships and revenues. Negotiate commercial terms, legal and financial agreements, such as NDA's & MSA's, etc.
Ongoing Relationship Development - Ongoing day to day management of Strategic Fintech Partners that include communication, regarding fintech systems performance, delivery of key product enhancements on the roadmap, planned marketing and demand / lead generation activities and performance of the operating model. Working with the Partner to ensure performance is aligned to agreed contractual terms and revenue targets.
Skills, know-how and experience:
- Undergraduate or 5+ years of work experience in consulting equivalent experience required.
- Consulting Experience: Experience in a consulting role, ideally focused on revenue growth, business transformation, or operational optimisation.
- Proven Track Record: Proven ability to develop end-to-end strategies that drive measurable revenue growth through strategic consulting and effective implementation.
- Analytical Expertise: Strong ability to analyse financial data, market trends, and sales performance to generate actionable insights.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute long-term revenue growth strategies that align with business goals.
- Sales & Marketing Knowledge: Deep understanding of sales processes, marketing strategies, customer lifecycle management, and revenue-generating activities.
