Job responsibilities
Main purpose & goals
- Clinical Excellence
- Understand and implement all clinical practice protocols.
- Ensure the highest standards of clinical nursing care to our patients
- Ensure all relevant new communications and protocols are understood and followed.
- Participate in the nurse consult rota as necessary and help in the delivery of this valuable service.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting screening procedures, including auscultation and sample procurement.
- General anaesthetic monitoring and record keeping
- Recording accurate and comprehensive clinical notes
- Administering treatments, as directed.
- Disinfecting surgical rooms, medical equipment and maintaining the cleanliness of clinical workspaces to a high standard
- Aiding veterinarians during invasive and non-invasive procedures and protocols.
- Tending to unsettled animals with urgency
- Monitoring and maintaining stock levels
- Boosting pet owners' knowledge about routine and specialised caring procedures.
- Although you will be mainly based at one site, you may be required to cover shifts at other sites as necessary.
