SCPHN School Nurse - Warwick Job Introduction

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in delivering preventative and supportive health care to children, young people, and their families , helping to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities across the community. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) to join our dynamic Public Health Nursing team. 

As a registered nurse with specialist public health training, the post holder will work with a defined population under the supervision of a Healthy Family Team Leader , contributing to the planning and delivery of the Healthy Child Programme . The role has a strong public health focus , supporting the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of children and families through early intervention, health promotion, and safeguarding practice.

Main Responsibility
  • Delivery of the healthy child programme at all four levels  
  •  Day to day operational line management and supervision of the School Staff Nurses and Support Staff.  
  •  Day to day caseload management of work for School Staff Nurses and Support Staff – helping them to plan, prioritise, evaluate and delegating and allocating work as appropriate.  
  • Appropriate delegation of work to others in the multidisciplinary team  
  • Act as a mentor to pre-registration and post registration students as appropriate and be involved in organizing allocation of student nurses  
  • Participate in preceptorship of junior/new members of the team while acting as a mentor.  
  •  To work in collaboration with health care and other service providers, including Head Teachers, to ensure seamless delivery of services for school age children.  
The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a committed and enthusiastic health professional with a strong public health focus and a passion for improving outcomes for children, young people, and families. They will demonstrate the following:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.

  • Holds a Specialist Practitioner Qualification in School and Community Public Health (degree, diploma, or certificate level).

  • Proven experience of working effectively within a team , contributing to shared goals and supporting colleagues.

  • A clear commitment to ongoing professional development , with evidence of maintaining and updating clinical and public health knowledge.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills , with the ability to influence and support change, motivate others, and take initiative within their role.

As a housing litigation lawyer, you will work in the Planning & Regulatory Team and will specialise in public sector housing law, housing disrepair claims and general civil litigation, including housing litigation. Candidates must have a strong and demonstrable background in housing litigation, including advocacy at Magistrate's Courts. This is a position for an experienced lawyer who is well-versed in all areas of housing law.

  • Provide first-class support to fee earners and the wider property team
  • Handle client enquiries in person, via telephone and email; keep clients and estate agents informed of progress
  • Open and prepare new files, manage transactions from instruction through to post-completion and archiving

  • Conduct Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks and manage supporting documentation
  • Maintain case progress updates on LMS and Lender Exchange portals

  • Manage incoming and outgoing post, both physical and electronic and allocate accordingly

  • Act as the initial point of contact for incoming calls and general client enquiries

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a residential conveyancing environment
  • Thorough understanding of the end-to-end conveyancing process
  • Confident using LMS, Lender Exchange and Land Registry services
  • Proven ability to support fee earners in a legal setting
  • Strong client care, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills and a high level of accuracy
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Windows and case management systems
  • A positive, professional and proactive attitude
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to other office locations if required
