Job Description Archive Assistant Fixed Term Contract- 3 months Leeds Salary: Closing date: 28/09/2020 Why you should join us... We are looking for an Archive Assistant to work as part of a team assisting in the day- to- day running of the busy media archive. The team are responsible for accessioning and trafficking media assets as well as managing archive metadata. You will be dealing with internal customers at all levels, mainly from production, sales and broadcasting business areas and providing access to content across various media formats Some Key Responsibilities: * Accessioning Assets into archive systems * Trafficking assets via archive systems * Rationalising assets via archive systems * Strict adherence to archive policies and processes * Dealing effectively with requests for assets and content * Provide archive metadata on request * Update and cleanse archive metadata * Physical vault management: Including shelving and moving and disposing of physical assets To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills: * Excellent customer service experience * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines * Organisational skills * High attention to detail and accuracy * Awareness and working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety policies and practices * Understands their role and the role of the department within ITV. * Able to manage own workload safely with minimal supervision. * Demonstrates a high degree of enthusiasm of the archive and the collections * Occasionally working beyond their role, unsupervised (but to a defined brief) * Good understanding of databases and systems * Has a good basic skill in film handling. * Works to best business practices and can train others * Competent in decision making, capable of generating ideas and can participate in project development Find out more about our benefits We want to be the most flexible employer in Media.
