Deputy Manager Fixed Term contract available to start asap till July 2021 with possible extension to 12 months Fixed term - Till July 2021 with the possibility of extension Full time - 40 hours Hourly rate £10.40 A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our clients adult provision to work as a Deputy Manager to support one of their homes near Lydd. This will be for a fixed term period of 6 months with a possible extension to 12 months. The home is situated near the quiet sea side town of Lydd on the Romney Marsh. This service supports adults with a diagnosis of learning disability, autism, mental health, epilepsy and behaviors that challenge, some of whom are supported 1:1 or 2:1 during the day and 1:1 or shared hours during the night. You will be supporting individuals in their own flats. If you believe that people have a right to choose how to run their own lives with the right support, then we would love to hear from you. As a Deputy Manager you will: Promote an enabling environment, ensuring high standards of professional practice, whilst ensuring compliance with external regulatory standards are met at all times Be required to deputise in the absence of the manager Provide specific management, support, advice and motivation to the staff team to ensure that the people who use are services are supported to be as independent as possible and achieve their goals. We are looking for people to join us to help achieve our aim of delivering a fantastic person-centred support service Need to have experience of working with people who have a learning disability and can present with complex behaviours. You will also have held a supervisory role within the social care sector Be highly flexible in your approach What we would like from you: Proven experience of being responsible for key areas of service provision and in the manager's, absence being responsible for the overall service, including providing, managing and co-ordinating of support for service users. Good understanding of budgets is desirable. Ability to write and implement marketing plans is desirable as is the importance of understanding the advantages of public relations activity and it's positive impact in the care home environment.
