Please note, HR support for 2023 UCI CWC Ltd. including recruitment activity is provided by VisitScotland Human Resources Team Qualifications In order to be considered for the Director of Commercial, Marketing and Communications role, we ask that you can demonstrate in CV and Covering Letter the following: Experience • A history of success in senior commercial roles in major international sporting event environments. • Significant track record of nurturing and maximising outstanding partner relationships to meet all strategic needs and maximise return on investment for all parties. • Breadth of hands-on experience across commercial sales, marketing and communications, with an innate understanding of the inter-dependencies. • Previous success in developing and delivering purpose-led partnerships. • Demonstrable success in creating highly engaging and creative marketing campaigns. • A thorough grasp of all revenue drivers including sponsorship, ticketing, hospitality, merchandise, events, licensing and digital. • Experience of working with Local and National Government, International Sport Federations and National Governing Bodies. • Experience of budget setting, financial management and performance reporting at a senior management level. • Experience of procurement in Public Sector organisations, ensuring best practice when leading tenders for third party contracts. • Experience of managing, leading and motivating a team in a high-pressure project environment. • Demonstrated and strong contract management and negotiation skills. • Experience of using commercial, comms and marketing tools and software. • Experience of working with UCI and /or on Major Cycling events. Knowledge • Commercial acumen • An understanding of the Scottish Public Sector. • Strong knowledge of cyclesport and the wider societal impact of cycling preferred. • Understanding of setting, monitoring and reviewing targets and KPI’s • A knowledge of cultural events and festivals • Specific operational knowledge and experience in one or more of the Functional Areas that this role will be responsible for. Skills • A proven ability to communicate and work in partnership with multiple internal and external partners and stakeholders at all levels. • Excellent management and outstanding communication skills. • Excellent presentation skills, report writing skills and option design skills. • Ability to make key operational decisions in-line with delegated authority. • Ability to make clear and effective decisions under operational pressure often working within tight deadlines • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and to be creative in problem solving.  • Ability to take an overarching view of a programme and coordinate across several departments, aligning operational requirements to the needs of the programme. • Ability to inspire team members and drive achievement
