You will join our Buildings Department As our new Senior Façade Engineer you will be part of an expanding team based in London. Our London office is located right in the heart of the city, with Southwark, Victoria and Blackfriars tube stations nearby, and Waterloo Train station a short walk away. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be: Façade system design development, specification and testing System structural analysis including glass analysis Preparation of design stage reports and façade tender documentation Thermal modelling and condensation analysis Participation in façade workshops Contractor technical audits, tender reviews, due diligence reviews Site inspections/diagnostic work Assist in maintaining the high-quality façade service offering Supervision of a team of engineers and technicians, and accountability for their deliverables Accountability for task delivery, quality and profitability Your starting point for constant growth From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is: Degree qualified in either Structural or Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or other transferable manufacturing/engineering discipline MSc. in Façade Engineering is desirable but not essential Proven experience in a façade design/engineering role Proven experience with AutoCAD in 2D, (3D software an advantage) Excellent knowledge of facade systems and construction techniques, procurement routes and risk assessment. All round technical knowledge including: structural analysis, thermal analysis, facade systems, facade materials, facade performances, specification, testing, manufacture and site.
