Head Chef

Description:

Allstaff Recruitment are currently seeking a Head Chef  based in Bedford for a well-established busy community destination pub which is independently run by a husband/wife team. Busy lunch and dinner service - Wed-Sun with trading days increased once the threat of Covid subsides.

The successful candidate will need to have exceptional standards of hygiene and a strong work ethic. The customer base is very broad.

The mission is to consistently serve good food & drink, give great service, making people happy not only to meeting but exceeding customers expectations on each visit.

The kitchen is small, but there are plans for development in 2021/2022 and there is an opportunity for you to be involved in the development!

The experience required...

As a successful Head Chef, you will have the following:

Previous head chef experience working in a fast paced environment with at least 2 years professional kitchen experience
Minimum level 2 food hygiene qualification
Staff management experience
Rota planning & job delegation experience
Be self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative as well as in a team
Confident in front of house
High food hygiene standards in accordance with current EHO legislation.
Food budgeting and menu ordering experience.
2 professional references will be required.
Good spoken & written english.
Summary of the Head Chef role...

Salary: £26000-£29000 depending on experience.
Location: - Bedford 
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours - 40hrs per week
