We are looking for an experienced Head of Data to join the team here at our Solihull office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative company with a chance to work with some of the biggest brands in the UK and globally. Reporting into the Commercial Director, you will not only help shape and execute our long term data strategy, but also drive the day to day use of data within our existing partnerships. The Company We’re a technology company that build innovative software products for some of the biggest names around. We have our own applications and also build bespoke software. Our applications feature data and intelligence as a core proposition, including competitor pricing intelligence, brand monitoring, comparison and marketing. From comparison channels to bespoke software, we work with some incredible brands, including Google, GoCompare, ASDA and Coca-Cola. The Role ● Work closely with key stakeholders within the business to help shape the long term data and analytics strategy, focusing initially on our Comparison and Software business functions. ● Develop strong working relationships across our Technology, Commercial, Marketing and Finance functions - ensuring the role of Data is at the heart of what we do, and that each function has the support they need. ● Take ownership of how we use data within our existing partnerships, including GoCompare and ASDA. We have access to significant volumes of data - how do we focus on what’s important; enabling more insight driven decision making. ● Ensure our data handling and storage is compliant with legislation, GDPR and infosec. ● Key stakeholder as we on-board new partnerships, ensuring that any new partners are set up to provide access to the necessary data points from launch. ● Present regular updates to both internal stakeholders and partners - ensuring that insights are supported by relevant actions. ● Working collaboratively with Product leads to shape our optimisation and product roadmaps. ● Work closely with the development team to ensure internal and external requirements are translated into the tech product ● Coach and develop a Junior analyst. Location: We are flexible on location - and are happy for this role to be remote. We would, however, expect that the candidate would be available to travel into the office a couple of times a month (in Solihull, near Birmingham), in addition to attending partner meetings. Required Skills 6+ years experience in leading data management, with a detailed understanding of the following: ● BI Tool Development. ● SQL (or other scripting language) ● Google Analytics, Tag Manager and Optimise ● AWS Experience ● Advanced Excel ● Data legislation About You ● Presenting: Experience of creating and presenting analytical insights. ● Influencing: Track record of using data to influence key stakeholders. ● Curious: Keen to challenge beliefs and question how things are done. ● Self-Starter: Happy using initiative and operating without instruction. ● Commercial Mindset: Worked alongside commercial leaders - identifying key opportunities for the use of Analytics for commercial gain. ● Product Development: Experience of working with Product Managers to shape customer propositions. Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Package: £45,000 + Bonus
