A thriving Technology and infrastructure services business based in London city are recruiting for a Head of HR to join their senior management team. This hands-on role holds responsibility for the smooth overall running and management of the HR function, including Policies & Procedures, Recruitment, Learning & Development, Pay & Benefits, Employee Relations and Performance Management, in addition to providing sound advice in relation to Employment Law matters. The Head of HR will work closely with Directors and Senior Managers to develop the Company's HR strategy in close alignment with overall business goals, whilst challenging and influencing ways of working to support cultural change, leading to an enhanced employee experience and in turn, business performance. The organisation has circa 170 people and although this role is a Head of' it will be a strong blend of strategic and operational HR as there is only 1 HR Advisor in the team. The main duties and responsibilities will include; • Work closely with Directors and other Senior Managers to understand the business strategy and identify where there is an HR need, creating commercial, technology-focussed solutions in line with business objectives.• Build close working relationships with colleagues across the business in order to provide guidance on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, performance, retention and employee relations while ensuring all matters are dealt with in line with company policy.• Take a proactive role in suggesting ideas and creating new procedures to ensure the continued improvement and development of the HR function, increasing its value to the business and creating a positive employee experience.• Ensure all employee relations issues are dealt with in an effective manner, supporting line managers at meetings with employees as appropriate. • Identify and lead a variety of HR projects • Coach line managers on HR issues and support their development on managing difficult conversations.• Support, mentor and develop the HR Advisor.• Identify training needs within the business and be responsible for employee development, while also being accountable for the training budget. • Support Head of Operations regarding subcontractor management and compliance. • Review and sign off payroll prior to being processed. • Ensure a consistent approach to HR matters is being followed throughout the business. • Maintain, update and streamline Company documentation in line with legislation and changing Key skills and experience required for the role • CIPD qualified • Proven experience in an HR Leadership role within a commercial organisation • Ability to advise from a commercial viewpoint as well as best practice.• Experience working within a multisite, multi-skilled organisation.• A strong bias towards technology and system implementation and continuous improvement.• Strong stakeholder management skills If you are looking for a new challenge in a fast paced technology driven business and have the required skill and experience then please apply.
