ChampionX has an immediate opening for a Director of Logistics position in our Eastern Hemisphere (EH) Leadership Team, located in Aberdeen (preferred) or Fawley. The Eastern Hemisphere Director of Logistics is responsible for managing end to end logistics. The scope includes warehousing and plant logistics, freight and cargo, logistics strategy and implementation, performance management, reporting and process optimization. Your objectives are to deliver best in class DIFOT and end to end competitive logistics costs. You will play a key role with procurement, planning and manufacturing to optimize inventory levels and deliver network optimization initiatives. You will provide leadership to the logistics organization across the Eastern Hemisphere and will business partner with the other SC functions to implement our digitalisation and ERG Strategies. Set expectations and drive results to improve safety and service performance. Deliver a step change in warehousing, freight, and customs management, focusing on establishing best practices and implementing robust reporting. Together with legal partners, ensure customs and freight compliance across EH. Oversee the efficiency, effectiveness and costs of our internal and external logistics and warehousing operations. Manage staffing needs for onsite fulfillment, training, and delivery. Work closely with procurement to establish and maintain ongoing 3PL/LSP vendors qualification procedure and hold vendors accountable to acceptable performance standards of quality, cost, and delivery expectations; escalates when appropriate. Plan and direct the activities of direct reports so that maximum, measurable results are achieved. Conduct staff performance reviews; establishes goals, objectives, and training for staff. Build a talent pipeline and develop internal competencies based on strategic objectives. Lead, mentor, and coach your organisation. Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Business, Engineering or Transportation 5+ years’ experience in a senior position in a process flow environment with successful strategic and tactical logistics results. Experience in maintaining high SHE performance in tough freight environment. Experience in managing international and domestic logistics in a similar industry preferred. Disciplined negotiator in large contract negotiations, able to balance cost, financial, quality, and legal terms in complex negotiations. Successful experience in working in a matrix, ability to influence across diverse cultures. Strong understanding of how to optimize landed cost with supplier and delivery risk through tough negotiation, good vendor selection and appropriate contract terms. Excellent planning, problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills. Ability to manage time and prioritize work. Ability to deliver results and creative solutions to challenges under pressure. Process orientation with program management experience. Ability to strategize and implement.
