About the team The Global Attorney Development team are fully embedded in the day-to-day lives of our associates, providing first-class advice and support to the attorney population and working closely with Partners and Counsel to help shape associates’ futures and careers. The Manager supports the strategic initiatives of the firm’s Attorney Development Committees including, in particular, the Recruiting Committee and Diversity Leadership Committee with respect to the hiring of trainees, new associates, and lateral associates and the firm’s diversity efforts in Europe and the Middle East.About the role As a Manager of Attorney Development, Recruiting & Diversity, you will contribute to global initiatives related to Attorney Development and expand local initiatives on a firm-wide basis. Other key responsibilities include: Working closely with the Director of Attorney Development & Employment – Europe & Middle East, contributing to and developing Attorney Development programs and providing advice and support to attorneys, committee members and staff in Europe and the Middle East on Attorney Development policies, processes and initiatives Providing research, analysing data, and generating reports in relation to the trainee and associate population Collecting market intelligence, conducting research and assessing trends related to professional development, recruitment and diversity including in relation to trainee and associate compensation and policies. Staying abreast of developments to ensure that the firm’s professional development programs recruiting, diversity and professional development programs are innovative and effective Serving as a source of institutional and practical knowledge for the Vice Chair of the Recruiting Committee – Europe, Middle East, and Asia, this includes assisting the Vice Chair in the consideration of hiring goals and lateral hiring requests Serves as the administrative point person in facilitating cross-over and direction of all trainee / graduate / summer associate or equivalent programs in Europe and the Middle East. Manages and supports relationships and initiatives with external diversity groups.
