Sample 17001 Mission Design Lead Analyst Job Description Location: Nellis AFB, NV Clearance: Current/Active TS+ Please note that you must be a US citizen to apply to this job listing Travel: 10% Requisition: S4 NV16-003 The Deputy Secretary of Defense directed continuation of operations of JEPAC through transfer of management responsibilities from OSD (DOT&E) to United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) and mission has been guided by a Program Decision Memorandum that directs the expansion of JEPAC's original focus to include all facets of Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) operations so as to provide an enduring, full spectrum Joint Electronic Warfare (EW) and Test and Evaluation (T&E) capability and enhanced joint operations across all five operational domains air, sea, ground, cyberspace, and space. Under its new name, "Joint Electromagnetic Preparedness for Advanced Combat" (JEPAC) was directed to collaborate with the Combatant Commands (CCMD) and Services to identify EW capability gaps and vulnerabilities, develop mitigation strategies, validate solutions, and enhance combat capabilities across the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) for air, sea, ground, cyberspace and space. JEPAC also provides oversight of operational EW testing and analytical evaluation of current and conceptual U.S. technology and TTPs. Job Duties: Provide support to the JEPAC with the following duties: Perform scientific work requiring the design, development, and adaptation of mathematical statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques Plan and conduct analysis of various Mission Design Series (MDS) Systems Work with subject matter experts (SME)s to define data requirements for data collection purposes Ensure experiments maximize the opportunity for statistically significant results Validate the effectiveness of data collection for post-event analysis Serve as lead author for the analysis portion of assessment plans and reports Assist with database design and date extraction Identify requirements for specialized data analysis software and other tools Analyze collected test data to provide useful information to the Director and contracting officer technical representative (COTR); provide analysis results in various forms to include tables, graphs, and figures. The contractor shall develop documents, reports, and briefing based on analytical results. Perform research and make recommendations concerning instrumentation and test resources required to execute risk reduction events, test events, communications, logistics, materiel, data collection and personnel training, issue and alternative definitions, and personnel requirements for each activity.
