JOB FUNCTION: Responsible for all football fitness and movement related aspects of the Women's Academy programme. LOCATION: Cobham. CONTRACT: Sessional. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (Play Your Part): To create a Movement and Basic Action syllabus for U10-U18 with the Head of Performance Senior, Head of RTC & WSLA and First Team Movement Coach. To work closely together with all relevant Academy staff when planning and delivering of sessions. To plan sessions appropriately to the ability of the current players and in accordance with the Academy DNA. To create and deliver movement and recovery sessions, relevant for the age group. To assist in the implementation of team and individual periodisation in the U16 and U18. To assist in the development and implementation of load monitoring & player development, ensuring injury risk management & performance enhancement. To work with the Head of RTC and WSLA and Head of Performance, to ensure that football specific testing is completed and implemented. To liaise closely with the Head of RTC & WSLA, Medical Staff, Head of Performance and Head of Technical in designing RTT/RTP protocols, planning/implementing RTT/RTP protocols and delivery of rehab. To support all players IDP's and target setting meetings. This will be done in accordance with the Head of RTC & WSLA and age group head coach. To liaise closely with Head of RTC & WSLA, Head of Performance and Medical Staff regarding all relevant data/information/reporting before and after national team camps. To set up, assist and/or deliver warmups and speed training according to the periodisation model. To liaise closely with the Head of Performance, Head of Technical and Doctor in relation to players from the Academy training with the first team. To collect data, import data in “Kitmanlabs” or other relevant files, analyse data and report data from movement screenings, injury prevention screenings, jump tests, hydration tests and other tests (Catapult, Polar, etc) on training and game days as required. To engage with CFC Women's team as required. Undertake a progressive and ongoing professional development process attending and participating in in-house CPD sessions (when possible) and external sessions (if relevant), keep a regular CPD file, and ensure up to date with performance advances and research in their field. To report any safeguarding concerns to both the Academy Operations Manager and Academy Welfare Officer. To perform other duties as required helping the performance of the women's department. Person Specification Qualifications: Essential Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding issues including holding a current FA Safeguarding Children Workshop certificate. Hold a minimum of FA Emergency Aid certification. Sport and Exercise Science degree or equivalent. FA Level 3 Physical Performance Award (or working towards). CSCS or UKSCA accreditation. Desirable FA level 1 / 2 qualification. FA Youth Module qualification. Valid UK Driving Licence and own transport. BFAS Certificate. Experience: Essential Ability to work in a team environment. Experience in coaching girls' football, understanding of the FA Girls & Women's player pathway. Experience in working in elite football. Have knowledge and understanding of child development and be sensitive to children's needs. Football Periodisation understanding. Desirable Experience working in a Women's Academy programme. An understanding of current Women's Academy structures. Experience in Long Term Player Development in elite football. An understanding of Talent Identification. Understanding and adding value to the constantly changing development of the women's game.
