Network Engineer - One Year FTCDue to large project growth and development my client are currently recruiting a number of Network Engineers to be based in there Portishead HQ Role requirementsThe core purpose of the role is to work within the Network Specialism of the IT Directorate providing support to all services. This will require technical expertise and analysis, acting as a subject matter expert and providing support for network infrastructure for my client . The role will encompass all elements of the lifecycle from inception until customer sign-off and will include the analysis, design, development, installation, configuration, tuning and support of all infrastructure for the IT Directorate. The role holder will be expected to act as the technical lead for projects as well as inputting into architecture and strategy functions and the design and development of technical infrastructureMain Responsibilities: Works within a designated team and across virtual teams as necessary. Provides expertise to a range of technical support and development services. This will include, but is not limited to, the *Provision, analysis, design, development and solution. *Installation, configuration and tuning. *Development of standards, strategy and policy. *Service monitoring, pro-active prevention and associated maintenance. *Fault diagnosis and resolution *Capacity planning and upgrades. *Evaluation and implementation of new technologies. *Coordinate technical activities. *Knowledge of estimating effort and timescales for delivery of work items and projects. *Resource management, planning and forecasting to enable production of agreed delivery plans and roadmaps. The Postholder will have:*Significant previous experience of network infrastructure and technologies associated with it*Experience and knowledge of Connectivity to Cloud service (M365)*Experience and knowledge of MPLS WAN*Experience and knowledge of Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi Solution*Experience and knowledge of Checkpoint Firewalls*Experience and knowledge of Cisco Nexus switches with VXLAN, TCP/IP, Ethernet, BGP, ADSL, QoS and OSPF*Experience and detailed knowledge of Cisco AnyConnect VPN solution and VPN technologies*Experience in writing low level solution designs around network technologies.*The following would be advantageous: - experience using PRINCE 2 project management methodology and/or similar industry standards, such as Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), Agile, etc.Spring acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
