Operations and Business Services Officer- Edinburgh - 7-months - £123. 60p/dParity Group Plc are excited to be partnered with a high profile public inquiry, who requires an experienced Operations and Business Services Officer to join their team on an interim basis for a period of 7-monthsThis is a business-critical role and will require flexibility to work across the various functions in the wider OBS Team when required.Main Duties/ResponsibilitiesDevelop extensive knowledge of the Inquiry's information management systems, policies, standard operating procedures and working practices, with regard to operations and business servicesDevelop effective relationships across the Inquiry to ensure a productive working relationship with colleagues in the various business areasProvide business services to all teams within the Inquiry (Legal, Records and Evidence Management, Policy & Research, Counsel to the Inquiry, etc.)Develop extensive knowledge of the Inquiry's financial database and processes and procedures, undertaking financial administration duties, both transactional and analyticalEnsure that all deliverables are met timeously, costs are carefully controlled and where possible, improvements are proposed to OBS managementManage, end-to-end, travel and accommodation requests in line with recognised proceduresEnsure all operations and business services trackers and monitors are completed and up-to-dateManage the Inquiry's Website and Intranet and be responsible for updating its contentAssist with the delivery of and undertake oversight activities relating to Facilities and Health & SafetySupport the delivery and completion of the recruitment and induction processesRecord and monitor legal documentation from creation to archiveProvide IT support, including video conferencing and the ordering and supply of personal IT equipmentAssist with ensuring the smooth running of the public Hearings, including preparation, reception, and maintenance of the Hearings SuiteAssist with developing and implementing policies and standard operating proceduresEnsure that all quality controls are followed and maintained and highlight any inefficiencies identifiedUndertake general administrative duties, including, but not limited to mail and courier servicesAdhere to established administrative processes, recognising and developing areas for improvementEssential CriteriaHNC or equivalent in relevant Finance or Business course or relevant work experienceAdministrative experienceExtensive experience in a high performing, fast paced, dynamic environmentProven ability to work under pressure, plan, prioritise, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlinesA high degree of resilienceAbility to provide concise evidence based information for review and considerationIT Literate, with strong knowledge in MS Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookGood interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsWe look forward to hearing from you.Parity - Better Decisions: Better PeopleParity Group plc acts in the capacity of an Employment Agency when providing contract recruitment services.We welcome applications from all sections of society and applicants will be considered on the basis of their suitability for the positionAt Parity, we are committed to protecting your privacy, we will process and hold your CV and use the information you have provided lawfully and in accordance with our Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
