Project Manager / NEC Contract Administrator


Overview Currie & Brown is currently looking for a Project Manager / NEC Contract Administrator for our London office. The successful candidate will act as Contract Administrator under and NEC4 contract, to support the project lead during the design & the construction phases of an estates move project, and the fitout of an office accommodation in a secure environment.  Working in a team structure seconded in the client’s organisation. The role will be largely contract admin and the candidate will need to liaise with the designers, the fitout contractor and project leads to manage NEC4 contract and administration thereof on behalf of the project lead who will be the named Project Manager under NEC. Responsibilities Responsibilities for the successful candidate will the design & construction contract (NEC)Liaise with all stakeholders incl. project design & construction team, customer team, client building & facilities management, project managers from other projects within the building.Administer all documentation and correspondence under the NEC contract, collate all contract notices such as early warnings, compensation events, change requests etc. and prepare responses for the project manager (lead).Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient project admin controlUndertaking contract administration services with limited supervisionDelivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely mannerProviding support to the team leader/service leaders in project management of projectsRepresenting the company and the client in a secondment environment in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships Qualifications Req in construction management, architecture, building surveying or equivalentMembership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Association of Project Management (MAPM), Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).A minimum of five years’ technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy or construction contractorPre- and post-contract experienceGood technical writing, client-facing and communication skillsWell-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, commercially astute with good contract knowledgeA team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexibleCurrie & Brown is one of the world’s leading physical assets management and construction consultancies, dedicated to advising clients in respect of the management and utilisation of their physical assets, and is differentiated by innovation, expertise and experience.With principal offices in Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Mumbai, New York and Shanghai, we operate throughout the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, India and the Middle East.Currie & Brown is an equal opportunity employer.
