We are looking for enthusiastic, polite, self-disciplined candidates to run an attractive village pub just outside York. The Shoulder of Mutton at Appleton Roebuck is a catering pub with dining room, garden and car park. The pub is pleasantly located overlooking the village green. The pub also has a trade kitchen and serves a branded food menu with an additional homecooked Sunday roast on Sundays. The position is ideally suited to people looking for a joint management opportunity, to run the pub in partnership. Running a pub is a demanding position required all-round skills including catering, good social skills, recruitment of bar staff, stock control, an understanding of licensing law. Living and working in a pub becomes a way of life. Full training is available. £1,000 fidelity bond essential. You will need to live on-site in the manager's flat above the pub.
