The role of the Quality Engineer is primarily to support customers projects and requirements through use of Quality tools. You would be responsible for generating accurate and in-depth measurement reports for approval by the customer and monitoring the sustainability of the process through capability studies and reports. The role involves implementing and monitoring procedures as part of the quality management system meeting both ISO9001 & ISO13485 requirements, legal standards and customers' expectations. Days/Hours of work: Monday-Friday 40hrs per week Shift pattern: 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm Rotating Duties: Analysing, identifying and implementing manufacturing process improvements which will improve capability and performance. Completing, ISIR's and capability studies and supporting the customer through the part approval process. Establishing statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error limits determining levels of confidence. Reviewing and maintaining engineering drawing to the correct revisions. Creating and maintaining company documentation, such as quality procedures, work instructions and forms. Troubleshooting problems or flaws in the item provided for testing. Completing First and Last Off checks on critical & Medical components. Identifying internal quality concerns and raising NCR reports. Reporting and resolving Supplier concerns and supporting our suppliers to deliver right first time. Auditing all incoming goods to predetermined guidelines, recording and reporting the results. Maintaining and controlling calibration records for all test and inspection equipment. Participating in team projects to help drive necessary improvements and changes to all process related issues. Conducting EH&S tasks such as Legionella and noise monitoring across the site Competently using callipers, micrometres, height gauges, plug gauges, shadow graph, CMM etc. Unitisation of quality tools such as: PPAP, APQP, SPC, 5S, 8D, FMEA.
